I honestly thought you were seriously down on Wall and you just like other players better. Now that he's been tearing it up, the fact you still can't say one positive thing about dude proves your just hating. You can't simply say Wall has been playing better. You gotta find another PG was Dame now Thomas and claim him better. Can't respect your opinion.

Just another Gilbert Arenas ... Please instruct me on the big impact franchise player wall is.

Not sure you actually follow the team. After Gilbert's injury + gun incident, that team was a laughing stock. Once Wall got there and they removed the clowns from the team...they started winning and now they have expectations. They're off to a slow start this season like plenty of other teams. It is what it is.

A slow start and now we're questioning how good an all star is?

Did you not watch basketball the past couple of years? Would that team sniff the playoffs if it weren't for John Wall?

His jumper is much better than it was years ago. He's not exactly Rondo where he's a poor shooter from anywhere on the floor besides the paint. He's not deadeye and never will be but he's decent.

in today's nba, pgs cant just be decent shooters. look at the top guys, they can all shoot the ball

No when I said lets get back to GS and Kobe. I know those are the top topics for the moment.
Gotcha. My bad.

Wall being 4th scoring in any month was unheard of before this.
Nobody said he has to average 27 per, though. But if you want him to be as popular a topic as league champions and league leaders in scoring, he kinda has to lead his team to a championship or lead the league in scoring. That's kinda how that works.

Funny.

Russell Westbrook and John Wall's career percentages are about the same.

You got it man. If your gonna stick to me wanting attention for Wall then fine. All I wanted was to throw that out there and get dudes opinion on his recent play. I just told you it was sarcasm but you won't accept that and choose to believe it was for attention. Cool

I never hold a grudge like you and others do. I can disagree with a person in one thread and be cool in another. You guys get so emotional you follow members from thread to thread trolling for things to hop on. Only thing we've disagreed on was Howard and when you came to you boys defense. Conversation didn't involve you and you came out swinging for someone else. WEAK

LOL. You're basically the Anton/Lionblood of S&T, a contrarian just to be contrarian. You sit there purposely posting garbage, then act all Taylor Swift "whoooo meeee embarassed.gif" when people call you out on it. That's what I call weak, now shut the **** up and enjoy some NFL games.

Hmmmm .... You aren't understanding what I'm saying. No one is discrediting what the Wizards have or are doing with wall. However, with wall, that team is not going any further than they have.

Again, sold above avg player. Just not a franchise player ...

We use this franchise player tag so loosely that we mostly associate the best player in a team as the franchise.

Let's put it this way ... To me wall is not elite and I don't believe he will ever will.

I told you to watch your mouth but you won't listen. You really never know who is behind the keyboard and your mouth is about to get you in trouble.

Wall is a better fit as a sidekick then he is at being the main dude .

For today overall in here . . .

Anyway, the slate of games today is pretty weak. Only one I'd watch is PHX-MIN since I like watching Towns and Wiggins, as well as Bledsoe and Knight. Other than that, pass.

You got it man.
Dude, I'm not telling you how I make things be. I'm just trying to help you understand a simple concept of popular topics, but you want to make it be that I'm coming at you some type of way. laugh.gif

Aight, man.

Cool.

You threw it out there to get opinions.

People mostly didn't care, but did comment on you. I've tried to stop that, and now you're bent on pointing out opinions of you, including mine. laugh.gif

So we're done with that, because topics can't be just forced to be discussed, and it does nothing for the thread to figure out who thinks you want attention or who should block who. smile.gif

Dudes get so caught up in this "main guy/sidekick" talk and have no idea how reality works. There are alot of moving parts to a basketball team. There are roles that need to be filled...and "main guy" and "sidekick" aren't actual roles outside of message board lingo.

Rondo better than wall. With rajon byke wall def not top 5.

Well see how he handles beal going down

Lakers tho...

Lakers tho...

I'm convinced y'all don't actually understand everything that goes into being a franchise player, ESPECIALLY when it concerns a true pg

Rajon Rondo has always been an interesting comparison becase their are very similar.

With that said...what makes Rondo better than John Wall other than having more triple doubles?

Because everyone in here keeps saying Wall can't shoot and doesn't score alot so that's why he isn't "elite".

Meanwhile...Rondo shoots worse than Wall...and doesn't do anything else noticeably better on either side of the ball...but yet he's better.

I don't get the criteria being use to make these claims.

I'm convinced the majority of opinions are based on running to ESPN.com and looking at the PPG, APG, RPG columns.

not sure who you are referring to ...

However, is pretty simple. You have the franchise/elite level player ... Good is the main. Everyone else is the supporting cast the side.

Sometimes like on a comic skit, the side would save the day but we still know who the main is.

Not hard to understand at all.

When players know the roles out get easier for everyone.

Actually is something that has been around for ever.

Again...this is message board talk.

Reality doesn't work that way. The internet is obsessed with who the "sidekick" is between KD and Westbrook...when reality suggests that they are both equally important to the success of their team.

I also understand what winning does to opinion...because just a few years ago the consensus on Stephen Curry wasn't exactly "franchise/elite level" player.
