It hasn't but besides Curry who's a All Time great player regardless of position has a score first PG being a teams first or second best player won? Maybe Parker but he gets his assist and runs a beautiful offense.

well that's kinda my point famb. i wouldn't want a past first point guard as one of my top 2 players because there's no recent team that went far with that kinda DNA, except the JKidd's Nets in the East lol

Parker, Curry and Billups have all won the chip or took their team to the finals as one of the top 2 players

Westbrook and Irving lost in the finals.

Everything you said is on the money. I'd ask you though, do you believe Wall couldn't win in SA or CLE with his skill set? The whole thing about scoring PG is we seem to discount the fact a assist is worth 2/3 points. If Irving gets you 30 and 5 that's 40 points. If Wall gets you 20 and 10 that's 40 points.

tbh i really don't know whether i could win. i do know if i was apart of the SA or CLE organization, i don't think choosing Wall would be an easy choice. I know Wall has high assist numbers but i'm not sure whether that's as valuable as one may think. of course he's gonna have high assist numbers in a team without another creator and having the ball as often as he do. I prefer a more free flowing offense and i'm not sure whether Wall would be effective in that kind of a system. this isn't a knock on Wall, tho. i love his talent.

Kanter is by far the worst defensive center in the league :lol: but he's gonna eat in garbage time like guys like him do though.

Rondo with Boston. J Kidd on the Mavs... It can be done. Don't let Cp3's untimely/unlucky playoff losses....and Steph's Ascension fool you.

A past first PG can be valuable in a free flowing offense...and can work. A non shooting PG is a little bit more tricky.

Cavs were making the finals with or without Kyrie in the East :lol:. Still, Wall>Kyrie....

Rondo in 2010 was a top 2 player on Boston.
J Kidd on the Mavs almost averaged a double double that season and was a key defender. Very arguable that he was.

Just goes to prove how historical Dirk's 2011 finals was...that he did it with Kidd/Terry/Chandler as his 2nd best player.

almost anything can be done , to a team without a real superstar winning the chip (pistons in the 00) or a team with one star winning the chip( dallas)  but those are just anomalies

. . 9 x outta 10 teams like that arent going to win it.  you dont need a good pg to win chips....

can't argue you on what you said about dirk :smokin but i don't agree with you on the rondo being the second best player in 2010. one can make an argument but i don't think it would be good one. plus the team wasn't built around him and he wasn't getting paid max.
