@ShamsCharania When told during game that he nailed Hornacek in leg, Morris told teammates he hadn't intended to hit coach. Two games, no pay for Morris.

The Rose-Chicago situation reminds me of D-Will in Brooklyn. Everyone hoping he has it in him to turn it around, but it's likely gone.
 
I wish the NBA did an AAU schedule for Christmas and had a Cleveland, GSW, Spurs, OKC bracket. I'm not trying to watch the Pelicans

He needs a fresh start. His game barely evolved and we don‘t know if its age or injury related, although it seems like both.

Even during his MVP year, we all saw how his style of play was not sustainable. When he was out with injury qnd returned, he turned bigger and settled for outside shooting.

As he ages, he will lose speed and quickness. With out that, he is going to recceed into a Ben Gordon type.

His only option is to play great defense, pass first mindset like kendall marshall, and be able to hit a few jumpers when needed like Conley or Deron.
 
i think drose's problem is all mental. his athleticism is still there but he chooses not utilizes as often as he should. whether it's him thinking about sustaining a longer career or about attending lil drose's graduations, it's a mystery. since he chopped his hair off and taken his mask off, he plays more like MVP drose in which he attacks more and finishes better. he always been a greater finisher and mid-range shooter and he's at his best when he's attacking offensively but he looks like he's forgotten his game. im not sure whether it's caused of jimmy b or coaching or whenever but my dude needs to look at his old game films.
 
Rose used to be the one and only primary ballhandler for the Bulls
He has so many scoring options on his team now that he doesn't need to be the main guy anymore
And that in effect causes his stats and his play to suffer a bit since Rose is most effective when he dominates the possession
Rose isn't the same guy compared to 4 years ago, but he's not as bad as the stats say
It's just that his role has changed from 90% of directing the offense to being only like 25-40%, which doesn't fit his playing style
 
It is probably a combination of everything. I think its just his personality. For him, its like being bit by the shark, not once, not twice, but 3+ times. I mean, will you go into the waters the same?

You know he can‘t help but to think whether the next physical play will hurt him again. Those injuries are very very painful. You factor in the recovery and rehab process and you will definitley think twice about going full throttle at the basket.

Bottom line is he either has to evolve and look for a fresh start, or risk another season, perhaps a career ending injury.

Rose did hint at wanting to leave, so it seems like a new team is really possible. He proally has the Reggie Jackson mindset where he wants to be the main guy again.
 
Rose needs a new start.

He knew this when Jimmy started wanting the leadership. If you guys can't see it but Rose is coasting every game nowadays. Maybe only up until marquee match ups but besides that, he won't put much pressure on himself to do better. I say bc of Butler emergence, it caused a stir in the locker room.

Derrick rose still got it, as he showed it in the playoffs last year. Clear sign that he is coasting and not really caring bc he knows that probably his time in Chicago may be up.
Plus, hoiberg doesn't run many plays for Derrick. Hoiberg's majority of plays are for Butler and gasol. The two guys that made it clear in the media that they want the ball more. Rose is way better dominating with the ball and his ball movement surpass Butler by miles.
 
I've given up trying to figure out Rose. Whenever I think he's going to start putting good games together, he'll play like a dud.

He'll probably give Westbrook 30 tomorrow and then score 8 points the next game.
