Next year will be telling for Russell. It'll show how hard and hungry he was in the off season and he'll be in control of the offense

He hasn't shown he'll be an All-Star yet but it's premature to make any declarations tbh

When he gets the keys we'll see what happens. He and Mudiay will be fine. So early

That's ALL I've been saying. When I hear things like "Future of the Lakers" or comparisons to Steph, Manu and Harden....I'm like he's not that. I've said plenty of times that "he'll he fine".....Always said he wasn't as bad as he was playing earlier....and not as good as he's looked in garbage time. I just don't think he will be an all star caliber player or a building block.

Really simple.

Only 2 guys PER 36 numbers were 14ppg 4rpg 4apg..

Man all I know is this, Dray is responsible for As many or more of GSW's win than Steph:

Teams play GSW heads up, Steph chews them up first and the team follows.

Teams play GSW by shutting down Steph first, and point Dray takes over by scoring at will and facilitating at will making every other player on the floor heaps better.

Basically, Drays triple doubles are a direct result of teams focusing on Steph that game which means, Dray could get a triple double EVERY game, if he wanted.

Dray > Blake, and it's not even close for me any more
 
And it's no secret I hate the spit in Drays mouth and GSW equally, I'm just telling y'all the truth

Discussion leads me back to another OSU PG.. Chester's favorite PG Mike Conley. Though he's never been an All-Star, I feel like he is generally respected 

If Russell turns out to be a Conley caliber PG I think that would be pretty good and acceptable 
 
Conley levels are what I would be happy with. I just don't see him being anything more.

A lot of this is just the high expectations from lakers fans

It took Conley 6 or 7 seasons to make that jump

There is just no patience these days. I remember when Warrior fans on NT was saying trade Curry so nothing surprises me anymore

This is basically what Byron is doing though, I mean the whole team is youngsters really. Kobe's going to start and get his high% usage which works well because Lakers(at the end of the day) really do want/need to finish in the bottom 3 to have that pick right.

I mean he put DLo on the bench so he could specifically come off when Kobe sits and still be able to control the whole game. Byron is really the best worst Coach because he's coaching with an agenda, which is to finish bad enough to have that pick.

My issues with dlo

1. He is not athletic

2. Reports that he's not a hard worker

3. Complains about the coach to the media

4. I truly believe that people that dress and act like he does are mentally soft

5. Being impressed by other basketball players not needing to stretch

6. very passive play

Not one to blame the coach, but Doc Rivers is royally screwing the Clippers. 
Pierce and Crawford played 12 minutes together tonight. They had a -47.9 NetRtg. They're now up to -12.3 in 351 minutes this year

 The Clippers best lineup this year, by far has been their core 4 with Lance. He played just two minutes with the core 4 against LAL, which brings him to just 9 minutes with the core four for the entire month of December. The Core four plus lance sports a +20 net rtg.

The Clippers roster is better than their record, and Doc Rivers is personally screwing the Clippers over by playing guys like Pierce and Crawford and literally not playing Lance wes and Josh Smith at all. Those three have been very good for LAC but doc's pride won't let him give Crawford and Pierce DNP's even though the team would be much better for it.
