Suns ready to give Earl Watson the head coaching job soon.

I feel old. :smh:

That's how I felt when Jaques Vaughn got a head coaching job, since I had played against him in high school.

BTW, where is he now? He must be an assistant or have a college job somewhere.

I believe Jacque is back with the Spurs org.

@WojYahooNBA The NBA is suspending Memphis' Matt Barnes for off-court incident with Knicks coach Derek Fisher, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

Hornacek ain't deserve it man. That's all on management. It really started a few years back with Dragic though. Dragic really didn't like sharing the backcourt with Bledsoe, but it was cool for a while....because they won 49 games and Bledsoe was injured so Dragic had free reign. He was relatively happy.

Phoenix management then somehow thinks it's a good idea to bring in another scoring PG in IT2....when they just drafted another PG in the lottery as well. Backcourt chemistry f'd up. They had lineups with It2, Bledsoe & Dragic at the 3 . This ends up angering Dragic who wants out immediately.....only for PHX to get a younger PG in Knight who at the time was worse, but had potential....but still running a 2 combo guard offense.

Then you trade away one of the fragile minded Morris twins....creating even more drama in the locker room. And refuse to trade Markief who clearly doesn't want to be there. Then barely play none of your lotto picks & draft picks meaningful minutes (Warren, Len, Ennis, Goodwin).....then sign an aging Tyson Chandler to a big contract to a team with no real playoff aspirations. PJ tucker is a good lockeroom guy, but he shouldn't be getting more PT than TJ Warren who has shown a lot of flashes.

PHX does have something good with Len, Leur, Warren, Booker and Knight though. Let those young guys find themselves. This team can be like Orlando is now in a few short years if they play their cards right.

@rafael_uehara Based on everything that happened since, is it fair to argue that '13-'14 run by the Suns was a random occurrence?
@rafael_uehara Bledsoe was good the half-season he played, but that team was great (sorta) because of the Dragic-Frye P&P, especially with Frye at center
@rafael_uehara That's something that was already in place when McDounough & Hornacek got there. As was Markieff Morris.
@rafael_uehara Len didn't play either. Although Green & Plumlee mattered on that run, and McDonough picked up both of them w/a first round pick for Scola
@rafael_uehara Though Bledsoe is a nice asset (both on the court & as a trade chip) that Scola trade was probably the best move McDonough made.
@rafael_uehara Since then: signing Thomas didn't work, Tolliver in for Frye didn't work, had to quit on Dragic & Thomas, traded Lakers' pick for Knight.

Sad what's happened to the Suns, where's @Buc Em to make sense of all this.

I knew the Bledsoe deal was they're downfall, but people in here swore he was the reason for they're success, and Rich Paul got another one of his bum @ss clients paid.

I don't want to hear any excuses if the Clippers lose tonight. Clips missing one player. We're missing half the team.

Don't think we've made excuses for losses all season. We know we're capable of losing to anyone on any given night. Blake playing or otherwise.

And I like how you said the Clippers are just missing "one guy," as if it isn't the best player on the team and a top 10 player in the league. But either way, if we lose, we lose. Good luck.

A 19-year-old NJ woman has been accused of picking up at least five men in Midtown and robbing them of watches, cash, and more.

According to police, Alexandra Martinez was arrested on Monday in connection with five incidents over the last five months. Martinez, who has an arm-length tattoo that reads "Love yourself so no one has to," allegedly drugged at least two of the men by slipping mickeys into their cocktails to knock them out.

The News reports Martinez was first arrested on July 22nd, for swiping a wallet from a man she met at West Village wine bar Gottino. On August 24th, she allegedly went to a victim’s hotel room at the Ritz Carlton and left with his watch. On September 4th, she allegedly met a man at a bar, returned to his condo in Brooklyn Heights, and stole his jewelry box, which contained $40,000 in jewelry, including three Rolex watches and a Breitling.

And on Thanksgiving, she allegedly boosted a $10,000-plus Rolex and about $800 in cash from a 44-year-old man. The Post adds that Martinez had an accomplice for at least two of the thefts:

Martinez...had an accomplice in the Brooklyn jobs and picked their victims based on the value of their watches, prosecutors said.
“They typically meet the male victims at clubs or restaurants. The victims are usually wearing Rolex watches,” prosecutor Wilfredo Cotto said.

After working their way into the men’s luxury apartments, Martinez allegedly mixed drinks that knocked out the victims, who would later “awake to find their property missing,” Cotto said.

Martinez has been charged with five counts of grand larceny, and was released on $50,000 bond. Despite the similarities in the cases, she has not been linked to the $750K watch robbery of Knicks player Derrick Williams.
