I still think James can come around though. Just needs the right coach and a better offensive system that doesn't require him to shoot so much
him and harden aint going to cut it against the other elite squads regardless if howard has been balling lately.  ....

right coach and better system. okay , another excuse word to scott brooks being the reason okc couldnt win.

dont ever put harden and melo in the same sentence again bruh mean.gif

people saying trade cp are just saying that if you dont think the team as constructed is good enough to get past the elite of the west , change something up .

, cp is past 30 and 6'0 tall . his value will never be higher then it is right now

. thats what im getting from the dudes saying that. i dont see anyone saying cp sucks. you guys getting defensive and hurt over nothin but i dont see any scenarios where he can get traded to. maybe after this year if the clippers come up short.

if he played better his teams would have made it

he's ranked with the greats the greats have all "made it"

the point of basketball is to win games, not get nice advanced stats

he's a generally unlikable human being

he's a known choker

I'll bite

- Basketball is a team sport. CP generally has played very well in the postseason, so it's no guarantee that if he plays Better that his team would have won.

- Y'all be picking and choosing when CP is a choker which is silly.

- Rankings are highly subjective. It's all about what you value. Won't go into that one. He's an all time great, I'll leave that one at that.

That is dumb though. Historically, the point guard being the best player on a championship team is RARE so why are we blaming CP3 for this now?

I think they should make a run for him. Maybe the lesser of the many picks they have.

being a pass first pg is the easiest job in the nba, no one blames you for any off your teams shortcomings because you're a "team player"

cp is about the same rank and career path as melo, yet melo gets no respect because as a scorer people place all the blame on him

Perhaps it is dumb, with that said, CP has been in the same sentence as the All-Time greats. It comes with the territory, if you haven't made a conference finals it lends more so to the naysayers

Again, because the PG being the best player on a championship teams isn't something that happens often. The wing player that is your best scorer is "viewed" as having a greater influence over a team's success.

BOTH are foolish because it is a team sport.

Melo should NOT have won a championship due to the teams he has played on.

CP3 should NOT have won a championship due to the teams he has played on.

So why on earth are we calling them losers? When were they supposed to win a ring?

. basketball is a team sport.  but one person can effect the game more then most other team sports. this isnt football where you only play one side of the ball and there are 10 other teammates  on the field with you.

right or wrong thats how people view , even their peers.

i would think nba players care more about how their peers view them then they care about how fans view them.

because they are, by definition, losers

its not even about a ring, this is the second round of the playoffs we're talking about here

the clippers SHOULD have beat the rockets last year

he got outplayed by the other team's pg (westbrook) the year before that

in the nba, 90% of the time if your teams two best players outplay the other teams two best players you win the series

cant be mad at chris paul, hes probably put a lot of thought and effort into padding his advanced stats and making it seem like he contributes to winning but somehow his teams fall short year after year.

So, we going to pick and choose which teams should NOT have won a championship due to the teams he played on? Lebby should be on that list for as much hate as he gets

Tbh Peers are much more leinent (spellcheck) towards players' legacy and rankings and all that.

We care about that stuff more than they do.

From a competitive standpoint, they want to be the best and all that sure. But like, you won't hear Lebron say CP's career is worthless because he didn't make it past the 2nd round you know? Or like you won't hear D Wade say everything TMac did in his career is worthless because he couldn't get out of the first round.

I'm not a big fan of players' evaluation of players by any means, but they do understand more than the average fan that wins and losses aren't nearly as black and white as we as fans romanticize them to be.

the clippers are not going to win a championship because chris paul is not good enough. simple as that.

put lebron, kobe, mj, magic, bird on this clippers team and they have a good shot at winning a championship

it's why the same players win championships almost every year

if chris paul is your best player you're not winning a champinship

Yea I know that is how it is, I just find it sad that is how the media judges individual players that play a team sport.

I mean people have to win, people have to lose. Just because someone loses doesn't mean it is their FAULT. They could just be playing a better and more talented team. That is what the media always leaves out.

Sure, one player has a greater influence due to numbers but again, it is a team sport. People aren't playing against themselves in a mirror.

I will never subscribe to blaming folks for their team not succeeding. Especially not the person that is the best on the team.

I am saying that you can't say, "So and So didn't win a ring, it is his fault." When that team isn't even the most talented team in the league. That makes sense to you?

Melo and CP3 not being part of championship TEAMS is not due to their production.

It is due to the lack of championship talent on their TEAMS
