I mean he's not lying

This. I don't think it makes him a "beta" to recognize that his team still has a lot of work to do to be as good as GSW and SAS. Blake and JJ Reddick have said similar things about the Clippers this season. Rather have the guys on the team be realistic and have a goal then be delusional about how good they are.

Happens ALL THE TIME, too. And I'm the jerk who brings people back down to the reality of the situation by saying something like what KD said, ALL THE TIME.

Lebby almost short circuited

That was too funny

he was so shocked an offensive foul wasn't called, and the fact that he was that wide open because of that possible non-call. That swift pass out to Kyrie was

Seems like rookies have soft mindsets.  What's up with these new kids on the block crying and sulking.

Love it when a coach reprimands a player through social media/ media.  Obviously there are numerous discussions BEHIND DOORS that we DO NOT SEE or HEAR ABOUT.  But every time people read something like that, they keep thinking how coaches and players don't communicate on the back end.  THEY DO!

Mitchell has been doing this to KAT all season long. It's bizarre really

SMitch definitely has me confused. Calls out LaVine publicly, yet I've observed him routinely more minutes to LaVine than KAT in critical stretches of games, but no explanation as to KAT. Weird.

son...

Baron Davis: Former NBA Player to Sign With NBA Developmental League Team, Reports Say
Davis, 36, is close to signing a contract to return to professional basketball, his agent Todd Ramasar tells Yahoo Sports. The 13-year veteran and two-time All Star last played in the NBA in 2012.

Some things you shouldn't share with the media. That is at the top of the list.

SMitch played KAT 6 seconds in the 4th quarter last night. And it's not like Gorgui was hot and made no mistakes. Absolutely love Gorgui and his role as our backup center, but SMitch is making all of us hate him
Maybe he's been saying it to Lavine all along in private and the player has just not responded like a professional should. Time to CYA and let the world know you have given the slacker every chance. If you are a coach and know in a year you'll be put on the hot seat for underperforming players, get ahead of it and let everyone know they why of the underperforming.

Maybe it looks to be in poor taste to air someone out publicly, but rest assured nobody is defending the coach when he is getting skewered for all the losses the underskilled players are causing.

Edit: I put MCW instead of Lavine. Sometimes these two feel like the same player...lol

I mean, he could just not play him, or play him less minutes, or play him at a position he's more fit to play.. I think everybody in here and everyone who watches TWolves games know that Lavine is not a PG. SMitch talks about Lavine not being able to make even the simple passes. But he's still throwing him out there playing a lot of minutes as our back up point.

Lavine has been pretty decent when Ricky is in there with him as the primary ball handler. A lot better than when he's running the show with the second team.

Guys like Sam Mitchell and Byron Scott should not have jobs coaching.
It'll be interesting in the next 5-10 years to see the types of people taking head coaching jobs in the NBA.

Feel like more and more the players of the 1980s-1990s will be eliminated from head coaching jobs (besides Scott Skiles because he's a coaching roach) because of their outdated methods on and off the court.

The problem is, none of these dudes (Randy Wittman, too) are forward thinking.

I'm ready for a new wave of coaches to be in that Brad Stevens/Steve Kerr mold.

I feel like this whole B-Diddy to the D-League thing may be some troll move or will be filmed so he can make a documentary about it or something. There were times when he was close to his prime that Baron didn't seem that into hoops, so I find it kind of hard to believe that he has some kind of burning desire to really come back at 36.
