If the person calling the game was correct, why were the Warriors allowed to advance the ball if klay dribbled off the missed free throw?

I was watching the Denver feed and they were pretty impartial for most of the first half - even calling out some questionable calls Gallinari was getting. But when Denver made their run in the 3rd, those announcers flipped the script and were feeling themselves only to get nervous at the end.
