Since GSW played a close game with Philly yesterday, I fully expect them to wash the Knicks today laugh.gif

Seems like speed and skill is something the spur cant handle. As shown by Golden State and now Cleveland
They struggled against the top teams in 2014 too. I wouldn't make any sweeping conclusions about the Spurs based on any regular season games.

What are the chances they get knocked in the first round again?

If they hang on to a top 3 spot, which I'm pretty sure they will, very low. Can't see them having a problem with Dallas or Houston.

spurs need to figure out how to dictate pace and slow it down and not get in a track meet. the squad that played the heat were able to play fast but this yr's team is having trouble. then again, they lost to two of the better teams on the road, so they shouldn't be too worried
LA and danny green needs to play better.
kawhi is the only guy that is consistent every night on offense. you really don't know what you will get from the older core guys anymore

I guess the Spurs aren't the best team in the league after all wink.gif

OKC is going to mop Spurs if they face them.

I hope we get the Warrirors side of the bracket though, and I'd rather play them 1st round and get it over with so this talk can end, but if it needs to be Rd 2 or 3, so be it

Tuesday-NBA TV

Wednesday-ESPN

Thursday-TNT

The NBA has you non-League Passers covered :hat

Listening to the most recent Bill Simmons podcast and they bring up the idea of trading Blake Griffin because of the win now mode with Chris Paul..

Would a Blake for Melo trade work?

Other possibilities?

Clippers would be worse off with melo instead of Blake

Clips are stuck with their core so they'll have to make the best of it

Last week was the first time they aired. The games slated for the rest of the season are really good. Next week is Thunder-Warriors. pimp.gif

I don't think the Clippers are trading Griffin in-season, but how about Millsap and Bazemore? I would throw in the T'Wolves pick too, but Griffin is eligible to leave after next season which hurts his value some.

Clips play the Bulls today, right

If Derrick wipes the floor with cp today, I'm going to need a gif nerd.gif

I'm even more sure that the Clippers don't want Melo for Blake. Has Bill Simmons ever come up with a realistic trade? :lol

Why wouldn't the Knicks want Blake? Dude is the PERFECT fit next to Kristaps. His window works better than Melos too. The Clips are the one who should hesitate on that one.
I feel like both dudes would be good fits.. But Knicks would have to give up something else, not sure what that would be exactly though

Melo's a big reason why Porzingis has been doing as good as he's done

I really don't see this perfect fit that you speak of. Explain it to me

That seems like a stupid trade on both ends .
Melo for cp . About the same age but melo is hard to fit in anywhere .

Melo's been a good leader and willing passer but he's not the key to his success. Fisher's messed around with splitting them up early in games because KP isn't as involved with Melo on the floor.

KP is a stretch 5 with elite shotblocking skills. Blake is an elite inside scorer who's been forced to play outside more because of DJ. For once in his life, he'd have the paint clear on PNR and post ups. KP's defense would help hide Blake's. Blake's a REALLY good passer and they're both good rebounders. They both run the floor really well for bigs. I really can't think of a downside unless you think KP is going to be a 7'3 PF for his entire career.
