the moment the cavs traded wiggy for love , their destiny had been set in stone .........a little better than the heat but never as good as the dubs or spurs

Lol at some of the negative nansies in here. Show me a season where you get a new coach in the middle of it and the team went on to win the championship. I'll wait.

^The Heat in 06.

Exactly 10 years ago. :wow:

And it was someone within the organization stepping in to coach as well...................

They should've just traded Love instead. It's about personnel more than coaching And Love's inability to guard anything from the pnr to the rim has a better chance of keeping them from winning than Blatt who t least is/was a winner at some point in his coaching career.

Naw i think he would. Would be dumb not to

The east is hot trash and if you know any team with lebron on it is a guaranteed finals lock why wouldnt you go after him? Thats just smart business to do so

I disagree that it is good business. I think Riley did everything he could to keep lebron and lebron exposed his true colors by handling the situation the way he did. Riley gave him the benefit of the doubt since he WAS the best player in the world at the time. I would see Riley taking a chance on many other players at this point than taking lebron back and giving up the whole team. He knows lebron isn't the answer to beat GSW or the Spurs at this point.

wait why the hell did the clippers trade josh smith? do they not know they lack depth in the front court? and to the rockets? do they want the rockets to do them in again with josh smith?

Lakers in 1979-80 (Magic's rookie year). Not really mid-season as the coach was fired 14 games in.

Want an even crazier example? The 1977-78 Sonics started 5-17, fired their coach, hired Lenny Wilkins, went on an insane run to the #4 seed and lost Game 7 of the Finals. I mean, that's the single-craziest turnaround (following a mid-season coaching change) in history. Then, they went and WON the whole damn thing the following year in five games.

I'm with you, man. But to hear some Rockets fans tell it, getting Josh back actually makes THEM worse. Go figure.
