Tyronn Lue on what he'll do differently than Blatt: "I wouldn't say 'differently,' I would say 'better.'"

I'm not even trying to defend lebron, that's just idiotic coaching. You clearly have never been in a leadership position. You can't come in with no clout and start trying to make boss moves. Your first order of business should be to earn the respect of the leader of the pack and Blatt obviously never did that which is why he's our the door.
Never been in a leadership position?

Just be quiet fool ...

You don't know what you are saying ...

Whether Blatt attempted to impose himself or not, you don't know but what many if not all know, even if he did Lebron was never going to listen!

BTW, the same way you assumed I never been a leader the same way I can assume you are working for minimum wage. You don't air your business to the world!

Way to take the quote out of context. Here's the full quote:

"I wouldn't say differently, I would say do some things better, I wouldn't say differently because Coach Blatt did a phenomenal job so I wouldn't say differently".

Also: "it's all about sacrifice. We just need to things better, not different."

so in other words

"I wouldn't say 'differently,' I would say 'better.'"

Ok now that sounds a bit better and more realistic than the blatant disrespect in the other quote

......reads pretty much the same to me

Word circulated to cleveland.com that Blatt had trouble drawing up plays out of timeouts. He would freeze up and waste precious seconds, one player said. He would even draw up plays for players who weren't in the game, another player said.

Come on ppl think Blatt will flourish on a different NBA team?

I find it REALLY hard to believe that a man with as accomplished of a European resume as Blatt had was this incompetent.

They trying to slander the **** outta this guy....but we all know who was calling the shots.

A Princeton graduate at that ... LMAO!

They know what they did was ****** up so now they need to commit character assassination to justify it

Bruh what the hell are you talking about. I obviously struck a nerve. If you don't understand that a hierarchy exists that you have to work around I'm going to assume you've never been in a leadership position.

Back to the topic. "We all know lebron was never going to listen". I'd like to see you attempt to build an argument to justify this. Apparently he respected Spoelstra/Riley enough to buy into what they were preaching so what are you talking about?

BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE watch out, you can't be logical in anything that relates to Lebron or you'll be accused on being a Lebron Stan or caping.

Man . I guess it's good coaching when you walk in as a nobody and try to knock someone down a couple notches who is much more accomplished and established than you are.

What Blatt did overseas is irrelevant. He has to start from scratch, nobody gives a damn what you did in Euroleague. It's like an intern going into a board meeting and interrupting the ceo telling him how they are going to be running things from now on. Fair or not that's the reality of it and really the crux of the job is understanding this dynamic and working with it.

You didn't strike a nerve at all ....

However, your concept of leadership is fundamentally flawed.

A good soldier would address the situation with his superior, hopefully the issue is resolved and they can move on.

On the after action, you address the pros and cons (in-house) - make corrective actions and prepare COA (course of actions for the future).

What you don't do is debrief with media and tell him, my superior is an idiot and I and only I stood up and say Im right and you need to back down. This clearly is a violation of every hierarchy that you can come up with ....

If you don't see that, then you are on the low totem pole - very dispensable!

In Miami, he didn't have a choice - I'm sure there were plenty of times he had to hold his tongue or go see the MAN!

In Clev his holding an entire organization hostage - from bad trades, to bad signings to bad contracts .... This dude signs two year deals to make sure they are doing what he wants.

But then again, this is Blatts fault - but Lue is the savior .. LMAO

Lebron just came off of back to back finals losses. Don't care how decorated of a player he is, you don't come back to the organization imposing your will on EVERY aspect within said organization. You automatically get the GM to trade the current #1 draft pick for a guy who's game you admire from afar only to try and get him to bend to you mafia-esque locker room clique. Grossly overpaying a bench forward and now you black balled the coach.

Regardless of how much Blatt needed to prove himself to an NBA super star who has lost more than he won, Lebron should've known what type of atmosphere he was brewing within the cavs locker room. Kevin Love is next because he has been the only player to show that he doesn't care what lebron thinks.

Basketball gods are watching. They will make a nice example out of Lebron.

I think David Blatt will find a job real quick back in the NBA
But probably as an assistant or a coach of some lottery team
I can see him coaching the Lakers :nerd:
