When the games mattered most, there is no better scorer in NBA history than MJ. Has the highest playoff PPG by a MILE. Even if you isolate Kobe's runs starting from after Shaq (or including the last 2-3 years where he was at superstar level anyway), he's still behind on both volume and efficiency.
I hate thinking about Kobe's 50 point playoff game. Should've been one of his all time best playoff games, hitting a go ahead basket in the final seconds of regulation to five his team a 4-2 playoff series upset victory over the MVP, after demoralizing them in game 4, but his own team couldn't secure a rebound and KWAME BROWN couldn't stay in front of Tim Thomas. Smh. The lineup for those final moments was Kobe, Smush, Odom, Walton, and Kwame. Smh.

Please let the Pistons be great this playoffs.

Or the Celtics.

Cuz I know damn well I can't count on my Bulls to be tired.gif

If either of them knock off Lebron early, party at my house. I'll be the one dying of alcohol intoxication. You're invited too @slysniperwolf

Actually everyone says Lebron disappeared during that series, so in my eyes, it's like he wasn't even there. How can you blame someone who wasn't even there?

And I don't even blame him in the other 3 finals losses. He needed moar help.

So in my eyes, he's actually 2-0

Lol at the articles I was reading today.

One was talking about how no one made any real improvements cuz no one thinks they can beat the Warriors LOL

The other one was talking about how no one traded for Dwight because he's no longer a franchise player

I can't decide which one is more hilarious.

And about the Warriors record:

My take is they'll get it. What are they at? 4 losses right now? They're halfway through the season... They'll get it.

But Howard really isn't a franchise player.

The Wizards are10th in the east. If they were in the West they'd be...10th ha ha ha

:lol I know man, but here's why.

For starters, I wouldn't be surprised if they did. They obviously are in an entirely different stratosphere in comparison to the rest of the league.

However,

Interconference matchups increase ten fold during the 2nd half of the season. By NO Means am I trying to knock the Dubs, but they've played OKC once, SAS once, and LAC twice within the first week or so of the season. And of those games, only one was on the road. The thinking, is that it'll be significantly tougher to be that good down the stretch this year. They've got the 3rd strongest strength of schedule remaining in the league, and they've got to go on the road against LAC, OKC multiple times, and SAS multiple times. I think they play LAC 2x, OKC 2x, and SAS 3x. All those games could go either way. And that's not counting a random loss here and there.

The hot take is that they won't do it. The real take is that they obviously can do it, but it's going to be incredibly tough. They are elite though, so they could do it, but I'm betting against it.

Idk if match ups mean a thing.

The Warriors has smoked by a large margin almost anyone who was supposed to put up a fight

They've been losing to crappy teams.

They've been losing to teams with length/legit big that makes them pay in the paint.

Matchups will always matter in bball. The problem is GSW is so versatile no matter who they have on the floor someone on their squad has a clear advantage.

They only played the Spurs once. Which was a blowout. But that was at home. They almost never win on the road against SAS and they have to go there twice.

The OKC game was pretty close and they obviously have no answer for KD. And that was at home too. They go on the road against OKC twice. (I Think?)

The Clippers, while losing both games this year have probably played them better than anyone else in the league this year. Off the top of my head I don't know if another team has had a double digit lead on GSW in the 4th quarter twice. They play the Clips twice.

By no means is this me shadow boxing what they've done so far, It's just a fact that their schedule gets much tougher these last 30 games or so.

okc has no answer for the warriors as a team. team > one player.

say what you mean shoeking. your hot take was you dont think will get it , then you put a little side note-real talk, i wouldnt be surprised if they do, so if they do get the record you can be like  i said "real talk i wouldn't be surprised"

Here's where your flaw is.

Your logic being that GSW as a team > OKC as a player is an awesome premise...for a seven game series. On any given night during a regular season game though? That absolutely could be enough to win them a game or two against GSW. They were right there down the stretch.

The hot take is that they won't get it, because of the aforementioned reasons. But they are 48-4, and are historically great. So if they do get the record, I would only be mildly surprised. I'm not playing both sides of the fence like you're suggesting, i'm just acknowledging that while they could absolutely do it, I don't think they will.

I said exactly what I meant.
