When you look at how long he played like a great of all time... He did it for longer than some of those guys careers lasted.

At age 34, he was playing as well as he did at 22.

That's god damn impressive. There was clearly a lot left in that tank, and was immediately cut off.

There's a few guys ahead of him on that list who get credit for things that certain people discredit Kobe for... Or who simply were great in their own right, but didn't / couldn't do it as long as Kobe did.

But we're also talking about a publication that throws **** together on a whim. And doing a lot of circular arguments.. When all these guys are solidified as the greatest players to ever live

Lebron isn't even top 10.
You don't become a top 10 player by failing consistently no matter how many all stars are on your team.
Kobe 2nd greatest SG all time.

Yes Kobe career has longevity but theres others I think who had better careers because of stronger peaks, more dominance for their team, being undisputed greatest of their era or a combination of all of the above.

how are we gonna compare kobe to MJ when kobe was never hands down the best player in ANY year he was in the league? because he can make tough fadeaways? FOH b

i love duncan, i hope he gets a going away tour...his game is just so damn boring his highlight reel will consist entirely of that heave over shaq in 2003. Imagine every stadium showing that exact play.

Though I think the Heat had no business losing that series, had they won, I think Lebron would've been much more full of himself than people already think he is. He (and the Heat in general) wouldn't have made it an all out mission to win the following year. The first year they thought they'd be handed the title. The second year, they made winning a priority.

I don't really rock with this narrative.

Plenty of folks still had serious doubts about Raymone

Yeah to me he has.

Some of yalll count those Shaq dominance rings as Kobe's solely. Kobe was great during those championship years but he wasnt the alpha on those teams. Shaq was the one winning NBA MVPs, NBA Finals MVPs etc etc.

To me Kobe has 2 rings as an undisputed alpha as Lebrons 2 rings.

this conversation of Kobe v MJ is just blatant disrespect to the GS Warriors and the historic season they are having.

I dont know about Lebron being number 3 though.

Bron somewhere in the 15-20 range. Kobe in the 10-15 range. Kobe being ranked 12 was about right to me.

But Bron ranked #3 all time is straight up blasphemy at this point.
