Wait a minute I'm just now seeing this :nerd:
I thought yall said this was widespread and not just a couple guys. Turns out it's not that widespread and it's just a couple guys

The strategy has been employed this year on over ten players. Yeah, Drummond, Dwert and DJ get the majority of them. But it is not limited to them. I know you're an algebra whiz now, so obviously you know that 69% is not 100%. The statistics make clear that it is becoming more prevalent and being employed on more than just "like 2 guys." But, hey, take a myopic view of the information in front of you to support the narrative you like.

I agree. Impact is seen immediately. Longevity won't change that. The only elite in my opinion is Pop.

Rick Carlisle is elite, and probably better than Pop at making adjustments. Pop is notoriously stubborn sometimes with his lineups.

this gs vs okc better live up the hype. gs vs spurs , and last week spurs vs cavs . these high profile games havent lived up to the hype recently.

Yeah, Pop is as good as anyone there's ever been as far as creating a system and getting guys to buy in to it, but his in game/in series management isn't always superb. A lot of the decisions he made last year in round 1 of the playoffs helped the Clips win. And he made some pretty notable mistakes in the Finals when they lost to Miami. Those are just some examples. Still one of the best ever though.

If this Thunder/Warriors game ends in a blowout then I'm not watching basketball until the Playoffs start

Who's at home? If it's GSW it's over already. But I'm just here for a Russ Westbrook monster game either way

I mean when we round up to the nearest exponent, 3 guys are responsible for basically 3/4 of this "epidemic". And deandre is 34% of that, saw something saying he might be the worst ft shooter of all time. That's the lion's share by any measure and hard for me to see how it's so prevalent. And I would bet a guy like capella is probably like 8% of that. It's not "more prevalent", it's just literally 3 guys getting hacked to the high heavens. The other 30% aren't getting it so bad that it slows the game to a halt and lowers the entertainment value which is really the bottom line isn't it?

They're changing the rule because of deandre jordan.

The NBA is about the players.

You can't fire Cousins. You can fire Karl. You find a coach who can coach him and get the most out of him. Until then they'll be searching.

They had that in Mike Malone but Vivek is a clown so they booted him. Shame really.

This game is going to be a good one.

Westbrook vs Curry matchup.

KD and West can go off for 40 pts each.

Steph trash talking leading into it.

I can't wait for this game.

Not really. From what I've read silver understands that you can't baby these dudes and protect them from the big bad free throw line. It looks like he'll come up with a plan that makes it so the strategy is still effective but you won't be able to cheese anymore which is cool. I don't like watching that **** either but it's really only when doc and pop or doc and mchale are fingerings each other for 3 hours that it gets out of hand. But take those 3 players out the picture and nobody is crying for a rule change because it's not that serious.

fools needa learn how to shoot free throws. Babies are being pampered because they can't make 10/20 free throws.

Can't believe the league would think of accommodating for these millionaires. Well, Tony Allen can't make a lay up so let's get a mechanical rim that lowers it self when Mr.Allen is attempting a lay up, then raise it back up when he's done.

No. They're not. If it was really just him, they wouldn't do it. The Clippers aren't that popular that this is becoming an issue because only they're games are made unwatchable because of the hack-a strategy. It is impacting games across the league whether you want to believe it or not.

play defense straight up instead of resorting to cheesy tactics. they are millionaires and cant play d straight up.

Bruh, why peeps think thunder got a chance , you seen all the hype Around the spurs game, this is no different , the warriors are in a league of their own and there's no team that can stop that.

I bet if I looked hard enough I would find some numbers showing that out of all the players that get hack a shacked those 3 are the only ones to shoot 20+ free throws in a game. Deandre accounts for 34% and two others combine for 35% so it's basically the deandre jordan rule. It's the combination of being a good enough player that the coach is hesitant to take you out and being a bad enough shooter that teams are willing to give you open shots. It's 3 guys. Take those 3 out the picture and no one is crying for a rule change. Sorry mr. Lawdoggy, really no other way to spin it. Unless you have specific examples of games you've actually seen where someone besides the big 3 was getting hacked so bad that they shot 20+ free throws at below 50% and the game went on for 3 hours.
