Depends on what is around him.

If he has a bigger PG next to him that is more of a distributor, think of Shaun Livingston in his younger days when he was a "Pure PG, then yea that might work.

But who is he going to guard at the other end if that isn't the case

Dirk is one of the best to do it as a 3 pt shooting big man and his tweet about Curry was like 'can't be real' laugh.gif

Iguodala won that playoff series against your Bulls a few years back making two free throws in the final seconds though laugh.gif

Sorry, I blacked out some of those dark days

Probably will black out this season too laugh.gif

I wonder how zen Kerr would be if he had to coach my Bulls

Hoiberg started out super laid back too and he's yelling in the locker room now laugh.gif

Just open your eyes.

But, calling him Trash, come on dude.
Trash as a NBA PG. You can't convince me otherwise. He's proven it over his career to this point. If scoring is all it takes then he's great at all positions. No vision, no passing ability, can't run offense and makes no one better. Trash as a PG.

Kyrie biggest negative for me is his defense, I can deal with him not being smart on offense but to be dumb on both ends kills me.

Having him spot up and shoot threes should be his strong point but he doesn't even effectively move without the ball, lol

Kyrie and Melo are products of AAU basketball.

He wasn't doing THIS but if you had to write a police report on their games, it would basically be identical.

It's true. When I first heard the Phil quote, I kind of laughed, but then I thought about it more and it is a pretty accurate comparison. Not saying Chris Jackson/MAR was as good, but had a similar game.

Watching parts of last night's game back. With 3 minutes to go, Okc had the switch they wanted - Curry on Durant - but Westbrook chose to shoot a 24 foot contested 3.

It's stuff like that, is why it's not the Thunder's year

I'm not even mad at Russ because kd was shying away from that matchup all nite.

Agreed about the thunders year part tho

Besides scoring there's nothing PG related Irving does well. If so I'm willing to listen and open to having my mind changed.
I haven't seen all that much of OKC this season, but what I have seen doesn't look much different from prior versions. Mostly KD and Russ taking turns trying to make plays. Which most of the time is good enough to win, but not against a team like the Dubs.

I simply challenged you on calling HIM trash.

Then you said you were talking about him as A pg.

Which I still say is a #ntExtreme statement.

Sure he doesn't make folks better but TRASH? Nah, nowhere near that

It basically is.

The roster is worse this year though.

So is it KD's fault if his team doesn't go deep? No @Meangene45

Every post I made today related to Kyrie and trash had PG in it. Go back and look. If you base who's good at a position only off scoring then cool.

For example by your logic a center doesn't have to rebound, block shots, or play defense to be a good center. All he has to do is score. Am I right? If not the onus is on you to explain to me what other then score and handle (that doesn't win any games in the NBA) Irving does well at the PG position.

Not sure how that is my logic but let me humor it for a second.

WHAT is a point guard?

Let's start from that point

Been telling folks for years that Kyrie is an SG.

Wiz fans def hate him. And rightfully so. Dude was getting a lot of shine when he wasn't doing anything Wall wasn't doing. Kyrie was crossing people up when all the eyeballs were on him...hitting big shots...and had the whole uncle drew thing working for him, so the media and fans were drawn to him.

Meanwhile in reality, he was an oft injured, black hole, defensive turnstile PG....who was "leading" his team to consecutive #1 picks. But the oohs and aahs were there...so he was anointed.

Wall is literally better at everything than Kyrie except scoring...and Wall has the type of talent you can build around. He can be your best player and #1 option on a playoff team. Kyrie can't....but Kyrie is probably a better 2nd option on the right team...than wall is as a first option laugh.gif.

As far as the "younger" PG's....

It's:

Wall
Lillard
Kyrie
Ravens, O's, Nuggets, Jazz

must be hard to be a thunder fan

It's so rough, man.
Not sure if there is a fanbase who has it Harder than what OKC fans do
