Kyrie was crossing people up when all the eyeballs were on him...hitting big shots...and had the whole uncle drew thing working for him, so the media and fans were drawn to him.

Meanwhile in reality, he was an oft injured, black hole, defensive turnstile PG....who was "leading" his team to consecutive #1 picks. But the oohs and aahs were there...so he was anointed.

Wall is literally better at everything than Kyrie except scoring...and Wall has the type of talent you can build around. He can be your best player and #1 option on a playoff team. Kyrie can't....but Kyrie is probably a better 2nd option on the right team...than wall is as a first option laugh.gif.

As far as the "younger" PG's....

It's:

Wall
Lillard
Kyrie

WHAT is a point guard?

Let's start from that point

You tell me. I say he's trash as a PG. You say he's not. All he does is score and handle. How else am I supposed to decode your logic? Can you see how I came to the conclusion I did now?

I ask again. What besides scoring and handles does he do well?

So just so that you are clear, I do not think Kyrie is "better" than John Wall.

You are right, all he does is score the ball.

I think most of that is due to the lack of success his teams had before LeBron got there last year. But those teams were also garbage to begin with, so they shouldn't have been good teams. I don't think him being a better PG really would have done anything more for those teams.

Sure, he isn't a traditional PG, he doesn't appear to make his teammates elevate their play since most are standing there watching him use ISOMOTION.

I think there the issue comes is what YOU define as a Point Guard. Since you are the one calling him a trash PG. So that is why I asked you what you think a PG is.

He is just a ball player if you ask me. A ball dominant, scoring, little dude. If you want to call that a SG, go head. Fine.

Part of me really wants to see Durant in ATL. How realistic could that be? nerd.gif

Game is on the line...deny Curry, point blank.  I don't care if it's

Kyrie and Melo are products of AAU basketball.

This. Repped.  A lot of younger players now have the physical talent but lack basic fundamental stuff and basketball IQ.  Help side defense, playing one pass away, swinging the ball around seem to be LONG gone.

it doesn't matter if its curry. you don't play a 5 yard cushion in that type of situation.  but came to the conlusion that curry probably  has bad body odor or chronic halitosis.  dude was spreading it  no damns given style.

It's going to be hilarious to see teams scrambling to cover Curry at half court in late game situations

We will see a lot of hilarious hijinks

We agree then on what he is. As far as what I personally expect from a PG. I think a good PG should elevate his teammates play. By running a consistent offense with the ability to get them the ball in their ranges and spots. Helping those who can't beat their defenders man to man get involved in the offense with easy buckets. Irving as a SG would be fantastic IMO. As the PG having a off game scoring means certain death for the team (without a LeBron) because he lacks everywhere else.

Pretty crazy people are all over Curry performance but sleeping on Klay killing as well. He made some incredible big 3's down the stretch
post #64556 of 93193
Cedric Ceballos was on the radio here in LA said his 93 Suns team could beat this warriors team because they would match up good with them. He said majerle could guard Klay. Lol.

Draymond's performance was underrated cause his offense was non existent

14 boards, 14 assists, 6 steals, 4 blocks sick.gif

It was just a complete team effort.

Steph is just so good that he overshadows everything they did

Draymond moved the ball well

Iggy, his defense and also the clutch free throws

Klay had 3 - 4 clutch baskets that got completely overshadowed by Steph's lol

Too bad Iggy getting old, otherwise I can see this exact core being together a freakishly long time
post #64559 of 93193
Yeah we been talking about curry for like 40 pages after that performance , klay put up 31 and nobody said a word lol
post #64560 of 93193

dame just dropped 20 in the first quarter
