That's messed up, man. Condors are still endangered.

That mascot epitomizes everything that was wrong with Ballmer's tenure as CEO of Microsoft.

Here's how I actually feel about the mascot. Its a little silly and corny, but I think most pro sports mascots are silly and corny. Its either a guy in a fuzzy suit or a guy in fully length tights. How cool can they be? That said, I give Ballmer and Doc credit for doing things to try and give the Clippers their own identity. They're not content just being the other team in LA that happens to have some fans because a few people don't like the Lakers and others can't afford Lakers tickets, which was the Donald Sterling business model.

People are going to crap on us regardless of what we do, so as long I think its coming from a good place, I'm going to support it, even if I think the execution ends up being a little flawed.

Yikes, that mascot looks :x

I don't mind the idea of a condor, but the color palette they used should have coordinated with their team colors more. Roll with the black, red, and blue. Make the mascot a little more aggressive looking. The use of the pink instead of Clipper red throws off the look significantly. Why not make it an angry condor? Something like angry birds. :lol

Clippers can't even do a mascot right smh

Probably the only thing they've done right is being located is Los Angeles

The war between Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire escalated Monday.

In ramping up their feud, Anthony went right back at Stoudemire on Twitter, unleashing three quotations in which he appears to refer to his former Knicks sidekick as being “petty’’, “resentful”, showing “insecurity” and being a “sucker.’’

As the Knicks’ season tumbles out of control, with the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference (25-36), Anthony wouldn’t let it go.

In his first trip back to the Garden since last February’s buyout, Stoudemire, now with the Heat, insinuated before Sunday’s game Anthony ran Jeremy Lin out of town and hasn’t stepped up as a franchise leader.

After the Heat pummeled the Knicks, Anthony seemed shocked to hear of Stoudemire’s allegations and said the new Heat starting power forward “probably’’ was not referring to him regarding Linsanity. Stoudemire, in part, said of Lin’s exit: “He was becoming a star, and I didn’t think everyone was pleased with that.’’

Anthony left the locker room disappointed Sunday about old story lines resurfacing, admonishing the Knicks writers, saying he held them “to higher standards than that.’’

Monday afternoon, Anthony posted a series of three quotations from Robert Greene, author of “The 33 Strategies of War,’’ that undoubtedly were aimed at Stoudemire’s comments.

“When you show yourself to the world and display your talents, you naturally stir all kinds of resentment, envy and other manifestations of insecurity … you cannot spend your life worrying about the petty feelings of others #StayMe7o”

Anthony then added a second, more abstract missive: “An emotional response to a situation is the single greatest barrier to power, a mistake that will cost you a lot more than any temporarily satisfaction you might gain by expressing your feelings. #StayMe7o”

In conclusion, Anthony posted: “If you lead the sucker down a familiar path, he won’t catch on when you lead him into a trap.’’

For his part, Stoudemire released an Instagram post lashing out at the New York media for stirring the pot on his triumphant Garden return, writing “don’t get caught up in the mix cause the media is full of dirty tricks.’’

The back-and-forth further underscores the failed marriage between Stoudemire and Anthony — a union that produced one playoff-series win. Before Sunday’s game, Stoudemire was asked about Linsanity.

... I'm hearing a lot of bull **** about my brother. Don't let the NY Media try to separate our brotherhood. They (NY Media) play a dirty game. They are known for putting words and names in people mouths. Don't feed into the BS. Continue to be the Great Player, Great Father, Great Husband, Teammate you are. #FamilyForLife

“If he stayed, it would’ve been cool,’’ Stoudemire said. “But everyone wasn’t a fan of him being a new star. So he didn’t stay long. Jeremy was a great, great guy, great with teammates, worked hard. He put the work in. We were proud of him having his moment. A lot of times you got to enjoy somebody else’s success. That wasn’t the case for us during that stretch. You got to enjoy that and let that player enjoy himself and cherish those moments. He was becoming a star and I didn’t think everyone was pleased with that.’’

When asked specifically about Anthony’s travails as the club heads for a third straight non-playoff season, Stoudemire said it was “tough’’ but added, “You get involved in this situation, you have to take ownership of it. Ownership has to be make sure you make the right decisions for your team and teammates. You have to become a complete player to bring your team out of a rut. And everyone can’t do it. It’s not always easy.’’

It was no secret during their time together, Anthony and Stoudemire weren’t close on the court or off. Ironically, they were better friends when not teammates. One thing for Stoudemire to consider, too, is his Miami mate Dwyane Wade is close with Anthony.

Amare seems a lot older than Melo. He came in only a year before, and they were in the same HS Class (02). Damn, to see Melo still productive....and Amarencompletley washed is something. Injuries and skill.

Melo and the FA F'd that whole Knicks situation up though. Blood on his hands. There's definite truth to Melo not being a fan of "Linsanity". He was being real petty and resentful with that.
