And for some reason people think the term "enotional" is an insult. I said KD was clearly an emotional person after we saw his MVP speech and a-friend came at metalking about I must have lived an extremely privileged life to say something like that.

Weren't you clowning him/calling him soft though

Brooklyn's 2017 and 2018 picks aren't quality assets too? That team is getting better anytime soon? They don't have a GM or coach at the moment and rumor is they're gonna hire Bryan Colangelo for the GM job. So good luck with that.

I was wondering myself.

That 5th pick loses value?

They have assets for years, a stockpile of young talent, an elite young coach, and cap space to absorb talent. There is nothin but positives lined up there.

But I pointed it out to Laker fans, so there's a backlash to that. (Bein the Celtics & all)

Do you cats think Monty is done coaching? It's going to be tough leaving 5 kids at home while being on the road.

All we can say is that, it‘ll be tough for him. Im sure family will come in and help each other. I think he will continue and hope he does.

oh damn..I didn't even think about that. How would he support them with the lifestyle that they're used to. Bad enough they're going to have to go through life without Mom, at least gotta try and keep some things the same.

All I can say is that those "assets" worked out pretty well for them last year.

I hadn't heard that 2015 was the final year of the NBA.

Prrrrrrrrretty sure they can still add to their team the next 1-2-3 years with the assets they have. They aren't expiring or anything.

I'll be honest & it pains me to say this but the Celtics have a bright future.

They're a legit big man away from being an ECF team.

Well, they're 3rd in the East when nobody expected them to be, so what's not working out?
The plan was to move those picks. Instead they drafted 3 combo guards. No different from hinkie drafting a gaggle of centers because there was nothing he could do with his "assets". I'm speaking strictly in terms of the draft and the picks which were supposed to be traded. I even heard a boston radio interview with ainge and they were roasting him hard. His interview after the draft was pretty embarrasing also. He failed. But if you think he had a successful draft, who am I to tell you different.

Ainge failed but he has a good chance at getting Simmons, his team is third in the east and he has the third best coach in basketball. Makes sense.

And if you think you can assess how "successful" a draft was only half a season after it happens, who am I to tell you different, oh mighty omniscient one?

After 8 months the 2000 draft when the Clips got D Miles, Keyon Dooling and Q Rich looked pretty spectacular. Welp.

These things needed to be evaluated over time. But that's just my opinion.

Yea I mean it could go either way. He could swing a deal that makes them a legit top 3 team. Or they could fall out the playoffs in a blink. It's funny how perspective works. Boston is considered a good team while the teams immediately behind them like atl, mia, indy and chicago are considered underachieving.

Well you asked me a question and I answered it. Boston fans, boston media and ainge himself all admitted that his plan failed. Not my fault if I give my opinion and it offends you.
