Has the the truhoops article about how the players are too tired been discussed yet? If not... Thoughts?

Here's the link:

Its interesting to see some actual science behind the idea that the NBA schedule includes too many games. It makes me wonder though why there were seemingly fewer major injuries during periods in the past when travel was more difficult and they sometimes played as many as three games in three nights.

It's said that they play harder now.

Yao was a basketball pioneer, inspiring a generation of Asian nba stars including the likes of Jeremy Lin, Joe Alexander, sim Bullar

Speaking of logos, here's a look at the adidas catalog for next year:

I'm pretty sure the Jazz are going from the mountain logo to the note logo. The Pistons and Kings however. :nerd:

The Rockets will forever keep their horrid branding. :smh:

I'm totally unconcerned with the brand, I just want jerseys that don't look like Jadakiss' shirts in the Knock Yourself Out video

Maybe, but If that combo did work better, I don't see it being all that much of a difference. It's more about the ancillary pieces that would make any real difference, in my opinion.

Having said that, you know where I think KD would be a perfect fit? Minnesota!

Seriously though...Of course I think about that being a Wolves fan, and despite it being unlikely, just think of how quickly that team would rise. KD and Towns, with Wiggins providing some scoring and Rubio distributing to all...they'd have all the other nice little assets to round out a good looking team.

*Wakes up and wipes drool off of chin*

I've wanted a star to team up with a team with a ton of good young players instead of just teaming up with other established vets for a while now. LeBron almost did it when he came back to Cleveland til he shipped out Wiggins and Bennett. I'd like to see Durant or some other big name with a young group of guys like the Wolves, Magic, Celtics or Sixers.

People are just too young to remember Yao and they neglect the Rockets. The Rockets of today are made up with garbage guys and are less impressive fools that disgrace the franchie. Gone are the Mobley, Franchise, Yao, Whittaker Flapping Eye TMAC days. Yao is definitely a HOF. He was a pioneer and even though China took his money, he still played!! He abused a lot of bigs, got crossed over plenty of times, but had dropped numerous silk road jumpahs on guys. He even did a crounching tiger, hidden dragon on Shaq. Shaq and Yao were neck in neck, with Yao potentially being up there.

Giant tall dudes like Dirk, Porzingus and any over sized youth proally had Yaos poster in their clear binder behind Shaq. Why? Cuz Yao could shoot for a big man. Its just sad, they dont wanna recognize him.

I hear how bigs wanna be versatile and shoot like Dirk, but no one wants to be fat like Shaq.

He was the brucelee of basketball.

I suppose. And on average the players are bigger and more athletic, which would make the physical impact of each game more significant. Still, I find it strange that injuries rates are increasing when training techniques and travel method are superior to what they used to be.

They don't make humans like they used to

Somehow these lazy dudes who don't play any defense are playing harder than AI did?

I feel like it was a much more physically demanding game 10-20 years ago when there were so many more handchecks and bugs that would punish you if you went into the paint.

Garbage guys and disgrace today, but then you mention extremely talented underachievers. Some would say that's a disgrace as well.

And I'm still trying to figure out how either are in your argument to justify Yao being in the HOF.
