The Miami Heat was concerned Monday about another potentially serious health situation involving Chris Bosh, multiple sources said.

Bosh missed Sunday’s All-Star Game with a strained calf and returned to Miami for additional tests. A person in touch with the Heat’s front office said a worrisome problem surfaced Monday, beyond merely a strained calf. Another source said his life was not at risk.

Asked directly if Bosh had been diagnosed with a blood clot in his calf, agent Henry Thomas responded by text: “Too soon for all of that. … Too soon to report that.”

If Bosh, 31, is diagnosed with a blood clot in his calf, he would need to take blood thinners that would preclude him from having physical contact and would thus sideline him indefinitely. Last year, Bosh was on blood thinners for seven months.

He said at the time that if the clots returned, he would not be required to take blood thinners for the rest of his life.

Money is guaranteed bruh.

Remember Nash skipping all of 2014 with a bad back from moving groceries? Paid in Full

Bosh is such a likeable player, correct me if I'm wrong but blood clots are potentially lethal right?

Bosh is the one player I really wish would've signed with the Spurs. Dude would flourish in Pop system.

Maybe bosh can be like the presidents of old and travel via train from city to city to help alleviate his blood clot problem.

It's not just the travel, it's the physical contact of playing sports. I know people who have had blood clots. They can't even play non-contact rec league soccer.

They can definitely be lethal. I mean, you hear stories of people getting off long airplane rides and dying because of essentially the same thing. It's a pulmonary embolism. In Bosh's case, his clot last year was the result of a bruise from contact in a game. What they have to determine is if it's a genetic thing or if it's isolated incidents due to trauma. Two in the span of a year is not good, either way.

pleasantly surprised to see yall supporting bosh. very surprised. i want him to stop if it is a blood clot. his life more important than the game. hope its not that serious

We joke about dudes because we love. Especially with good players like Bosh. And, when it comes to life and death situations, all the jokes and memes get set aside.

Except for Clay Bennett, Howard Schultz and David Stern. They can die in a fire. Together, preferably, and while I'm watching.

True, however bosh was speculating in that ESPN article a few days back that his problems were due to all the air travel.
