A bunch of people were. But there were also a segment people were constantly saying he "deserves better" as if he was just along for the ride, when he was just has important as Wade and Lebron during that run. Without either 1 of those 3, they don't get to 4 Finals much less win 2. Even that game where he didn't score a single point in the Finals vs the Spurs, they still needed his defense on the court.

No player is coming here via FA unless Stan Grabs Ryan Anderson in the offseason and sells him on the system.

I will take this trade all day. Ersan was under-achieving this season big time and BJ was not returning to us.
 
I never really like the simultaneous coach and GM role, but SVG has been doing it right.

A couple of free agency miscues (Baynes, Butler), but in the bigger picture, he's been pretty damn good.

Why would you rather have two expiring contracts over Tobias Harris, who will make only $14.8m four years from today in a year in which he's 27 years old. This makes no sense and there has to be more to it.
 
If that's the best they could get... what does the rest of the league know? SVG still thriving via Orlando though.

as for why Orlando wanted jennings, its an expiring deal for a player coming off a major injury.

maybe they feel they could resign him on the low. 

makes sense if they trade oladipo....why is he even on the block though?

Maybe so. Svg might be able to make something of him. Still amazed he turned reggie and BJ into consistent shooters.

Orlando wants an achilles injured dude? Harris is pretty good for them. The hell you keeping oldaipo? Dude is Steve Young bound. Concussed prone like Austin Collie getting ankled tackled.

Thank god that conditional first-round pick Minnesota sent to Atlanta last year at this time for Adreian Payne will be conveyed to a pair of second-round picks now due to protection.


Still will never figure out why a team would ever trade for a rookie ... IN his rookie year... and give up a first-round pick on top of that.


They just spent a first-round pick on that guy, and you want to replenish their stock by absolving them of their mistake? What the hell are you doing? THINK, MCFLY: They're trying to get out from under him at this point... why???? Luckily, the Timberwolves weren't good enough this season to meet the requirements to give up that pick.

I don't think orlando even really wanted to re-sign harris but he was restricted and nobody else offered him a deal. He was only signed to be trade bait imo
