great versatile defender in todays game

you think he could have guarded a prime PF or C even 10 years ago? let alone the 90s.... no chance not even for 1 quarter

Who gives a ****.  He can guard a PF or C today and that is all that matters....

i can name 10 centers TODAY he can't guard for a whole game. he would get bodied and give up rebounds.

Does that not make him a power forward?   I would like to see this list of 10 centers.  There aren't even 10 good centers in the NBA right now with an offensive game worth noting.

Just because someone can't guard a player from a decade ago doesn't mean a damn thing.  Could Steph Curry check Michael Jordan in his prime?  No.  Does that make him a bad defender in the modern NBA?  No.

That entire point is completely illogical.

On a flip side, how many of those players are going to be able to guard Draymond for an entire game?

Throwing Roy Hibbert in there roll.gif

Come on. The C position is actually pretty strong right now. No need to throw bums on the list

I will give you this, that list is a lot more respectable that it would have been 5 years ago. I just don't think you can say someone isn't a big because they can't guard 5-10 players for an entire game. He is 6-7 and plays pretty solid post defense and switches just as well as any big man in the NBA which is what makes the Warriors so dangerous. There is a reason they went from low playoff team to the best team in the NBA when Lee went down.

LoL my fault then. But that's what makes the Warriors dangerous, if they find that Draymond will have trouble with any one of those guys they got Bogut to play as well. I feel Deandre Jordan could be in that top 10 list in there somewhere.

How you get 1 assist in 39 minutes as the primary ball handler

thats why they are called high lights. its catered towards the good, not the bad. they are often misleasing.

id love draymond on my squad...so at no point am i diminishing his incredible value on the basketball court

but to claim he can guard 1-5 is misleading. just like when ppl said lebron could guard 1-5 but he wasnt ever gonna bang with a center for 30 mins a game

After the Clippers it is East > West

The Hornets would wash the Grizz right now. Bottom of the West is still terrible. Knicks 13th have the same record as the 10th seed Nuggets. We need to check those head to head numbers again.

Is he going to guard the top 5 centers in the league all game long? Probably not. Can he guard your timothy mozgovs of the NBA for an entire game and create ridiculous mismatches on the other end? Absolutely. I don't think anyone is saying he would guard 1-5. I think people are just saying he is a post player who can shoot threes which is contrary to what some other dude in here was saying about them not having a post player who can shoot threes.

I've asked this question before when you compare conferences are you comparing just 4/5 teams or the whole conference? If it's 4/5 teams then we aren't comparing conferences.

GSW got 12 games this year vs Lakers, Kings and Suns. I see why you'd want to pump up the West. CAKE WALK WEST.
