Any team that has a large percentage of bandwagon fans is going to have a lot of fans that aren't very knowledgeable. The Lakers are one of those teams. The more people who hop on the Warriors bandwagon, the more knucklehead fans they'll have. Because bandwagon fans are more about being part of something winning that really being fans of the team.

Lakers fans as a group were much more tolerable before the team's run of championships in the 2000s. Loved their team, but didn't seem to look down on everyone else, including the Clippers, the way a lot of them do now. And didn't have this same sense of being entitled to top notch free agents, etc. All that stuff came in with the bandwogoners.

All that said, there are some Lakers fans on here who really know their stuff and are very reasonable. CP, Ska, PMatic and Essential, to name a few. (That was not intended to be an exclusive list). Its too bad some of the less reasonable Lakers fans give the good ones a bad name.

Yeah, all fanbases have their share of idiots. I think the Clippers fans who regularly post on here are all pretty good guys. But I had to stop going on some of the Clippers only message boards because I couldn't stand a lot of the people on there.

How stable is his job. Idk what their local media feels/says about him. Same with the fans. Always thought it was a sneaky hot seat he is sitting on.

Case in point about all fanbases having ******* fans, I just saw that there were some Mavs fans on Twitter last night acting disappointed that Wes Matthews wasn't seriously hurt. mean.gif

Not so fast.

I've been critical of Doc, but in all honesty you aren't going to find better in the free agent market of coaches.

Plus he's probably one of, if not the best ATO coaches in the league. At times his rotations seem wacky, but they're almost always justifiable.

The Clippers problem(s) to me isnt the coaching. Personnel is an issue, and perhaps that falls on him as a gm, but finding gems and buy low guys that support an elite core is not an easy task.

Can't be so quick to blame the coach when things don't go well.

This myth continues to live on. Let's just ignre the fact that they had some awful attendance numbers until they made the playoffs.

Unless 24th in the league is "bringing out the fans" laugh.gif

Bruh when I was there in the 2012 season during the playoffs at game 4 (remember we swept them that WC Semis so the closeout game), they was roasting Terry and Haywood to the point it was borderline. In fact, I'd say calling any black person monkey in any situation is, but dudes behind me were yelling out calling him dumb monkey whose just tall and all kind of stuff. Even some of the other black Mavs fans sitting around me kept turning around like they were bout to check them. Plus the Mavs jumbotron guy accidentally put "Brenda" on the screen and everyone thought that was hilarious so they just left it up there to everyone's delight.

Also, they were up the whole game until that play where JH split the double team and came down the middle on them on all 5 Mavs like God cutting the deficit to 1 (he had 15 in the 4th) then Westbrook's steal on Dirk culminated with an Ibaka dunk would give us the lead

CP-Redick-Melo-BG-DJ would be cool if it were plausible and Melo helped some other short-handed career fails get over the hump to another tier

And the fact is that Doc isn't going anywhere. He's safe. If (when) we flame out in the playoffs this year, I think it's much more likely to result in big roster changes than have any impact on Doc's job.

And I'm fine with Doc the coach. He's good, if not great. Doc the GM is another matter. I would like to see Ballmer bring someone else in to at least share the GM duties. I'm against anyone having dual GM/coach roles, TBH. Including but not limited to Glenn.
