I hate these "Last X Games" stats. It's like just choose an arbitrary number of games where a player happens to play well as if it proves anything of substance. 

May as well start slicing stats up by Last 70 minutes, 43 seconds and 22 milliseconds

I don't know what stat you're referring to, but it shows a trend. I'm not a fan of arbitrary stats either, but taking a recent sample size gives perspective and can show progression, development or cohesion.

That last 15 games James Harden infographic. Yes I do hate Harden, yes that did come into play when I posted that. Still dislike those types of stats though

Or... they could just be showing a hot streak the last 10 games, where maybe the next ten games the player is decent, and at times horrible.

I'm with ai3. I never pay those graphics any mind.

It's context. It doesn't have to be one side or the other. It can be an obvious abberation or a true measure of improvement.
