defenders are taught from a young age to get the ball out of the biggest threats hands. you make someone other than their best player beat you. i mean come on bro even the kids who got cut know this. im starting to wonder if u guys even play pickup ball smhI can't call that bad defense when he made a shot from 40 feet with time still left. No basketball player thinks to jump on somebody like Gary Payton at half court. Even if it's Steph. Defense has never been taught like that
Hindsight is something else. I would love to see how many people were screaming at the TV or even saying in their heads "Get on him at half court"
Now AFTER seeing that last night it does change your thinking when you dealing with Steph Curry.

He's arguably having the greatest offensive season ever, especially if it's the post 1980 3 point line era. But he really isn't that great of a defender.
John Wall had a season high 41 points along with 10 assists against him a couple of weeks ago. Lowry had a 41 point game against him this season as well. I remember the Pistons role player Caldwell-Pope had a very good game against him when the Pistons beat them this season. Kyrie at 70% had a very good game against him in game 1 of the finals before he went down entirely and later that series Dellavedova had the highest scoring game he had that season and playoffs against him.
