I will never understand people who make death threats to athletes on Twitter.
Just say they suck and keep it moving. No need to wish death on them.

who does that here. the only one ive seen celebrating someone getting injured has been timidtebow.

Back when I had Twitter I followed a bunch of S&T NTers and I would always see dudes tweeting about hoping LeBron tore his acl or wishing the team plane went down. Especially when he was in Miami. I couldn't eem imagine what this thread would be like without Ska and co. enforcing rules.

I know that CP3 gets under a lot folks skin, but it is just a game, also, what did his wife ever do to anyone, doesn't make any damned sense. I guarantee that if whoever is behind this wasn't an Internet wanna be tough guy and ran into the Pauls in real life they'd be friendlier than a box of kittens and would not be about any action. Scum.

Never said they were "hoping"

I said "wishing"

And it was always. Every second of my life. Even when I closed my eyes.

Hope they choke in the closing seconds of a close game? Yep.
Hope they blow out an ACL? Hell naw.

People are scum.

This thread used to be a massive orgy of trolls laugh.gif. Props to ska and the super friends for cleaning things up around here.

For teams I don't like I sometimes catch myself getting excited when it looks like one of their guys gets injured but then I quickly check myself and realize I don't want anyone to get hurt, I just want them to lose in good health. I think fans can blur the lines sometimes without realizing it.

Even saying they suck is baffling to me. Poor performances happen but these dudes are playing at the highest level that only a fraction of the population can compete at.

I love sports but it's never that serious

It's a small thing, but Kobe Bryant gave his final postgame interview in front of his locker last night. He says he'll miss it and recalled his favorite such interview there, right after he ruptured his Achilles and spoke on crutches, his eyes still wet with tear
Quote:
Kobe Bryant's basketball career is coming to an end, but certain traditions have already met their fate.

The Black Mamba has nine games left this season, four at home, and his days of giving an interview at his locker room at Staples Center are likely over as Lakers vice-president of public relations John Black said Sunday night to reporters. Instead of speaking at his locker, Bryant will talk at the podium to accommodate the incoming horde of reporters.

"Am I going to miss this? Probably, yeah, I've done a lot of interviews standing in front of this locker," he said, via NBC Los Angeles.

After spending 20 years in the league, you bet he's given a ton of locker room interviews. But even after providing reporters hundreds upon hundreds of responses, there's one post-game interview that Bryant will never forget.

"The one I'll always remember is the night I ruptured my Achilles," he said.

This is one that many of his fans will remember as well. Bryant was red-eyed, weak-voiced and at one of the lowest points in his career. His torn Achilles was a defining moment in his career, and his post-game interview will never be forgotten.

Bryant plans to play in each of the Lakers' final games.

Legitimately makes me depressed sometimes how much hate and anger is out there. Even if it's just Internet bluffing, just the fact people would put those kind of thoughts out into the world is terrible.

Chris Paul: Police Investigating Online Death Threat Against Clippers Player's Wife, Report Says
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a tweet sent to Paul on March 14 that included the message "if I knew where you lived I'd probably kill your wife," TMZ Sports reports.

The Los Angeles Police Department is reportedly investigating a death threat made against Chris Paul's wife, Jada, on Twitter on March 14, according to TMZ Sports.

The tweet in question read, "@CP3 if I knew where you lived I'd probably kill your wife and frame you for it. I watch dateline I get away with it."

According to TMZ's report, Los Angeles Clippers security saw the tweet and contacted the LAPD, which has yet to make an arrest.

Omar Vega/Associated Press

TMZ also reported the LAPD is currently investigating "an Instagram troll who's been harassing him and his wife for more than a year" in a separate case involving the Clippers point guard. While physical harm wasn't threatened against Paul or his wife in that case, the person harassing Paul is allegedly performing "a campaign of cyber-humiliation."

No arrests have been made in that case either.

Paul, 30, remains one of the NBA's top players. This season, he's averaging 19.9 points, 9.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game and has led the Clippers to a 45-27 record, the fourth-best mark in the Western Conference.

The point gawd CP3 has to be the most-hated superstar. Haters won't appreciate his greatness until he's gone.

I think lebron and Kobe get far more hate. Cp doesn't win enough to be the most hated.
