season hasn't stared yet be we already know one thing:

LeBae needs more help.

I can't believe how many analysts I'm hearing and reading  picking the Clippers to either make the Finals and/or get a #1 seed

Mind blown

Me neither, especially after the somewhat shaky preseason they had. I got GSW, OKC and the Spurs all ahead of the Clips still.

Just shows you that a lot of the "analysts" out there either are trying to be different or contrary or just straight don't know what they're talking about.

I've kept up with the thread for the most part but after about 8 clock tonight, it will be impossible. We should occupied with baksetball in some form today until late August because of the Olympics. Always like going to bed during the playoffs and waking up to 400+ posts.

-Is there going to be a Fri - Sun all star weekend thread? That was a great move by whoever did that last year and a playoff thread as well?

I don't have the Spurs ahead of LAC tbh. Aldridge's assimilation into their system might be slower than most people think, at least in my mind

Not to mention another year older.. LAC proved a lot to me last year when they eliminated the Spurs

I do feel like GSW is ahead but I have OKC BARELY ahead maybe even. I swear Clippers choked away the series the last time they faced OKC fully healthy. They can hang with OKC

OKC getting WAYY further than cp3 & co

guaranteed
Sounds like we got some potential NT $150 bets

I agree. Its GSW, Clips, and Thunder( If they can stay healthy.)
The Thunder have not been fully healthy since their the Finals run.

I'm thinking smith and stephenson are going to cause locker room issues.

Spurs are older, but Aldridge will help keep Duncan fresh for playoffs. The west is going to be entertaining as always.
Can't wait!

What's way farther though, second round maybe? I'm a big Billy fan but IDK how well that spread P&R offense works w/OKC The talent will probably make up for it and his smarts will probably have the adjustments made to make it work in the NBA. I don't think they have the talent ball moving wise to make it work 100%. They're really depending on Waiters/Singler w/Kanter off the bench.

But, I'm someone who thinks investing in Waiters/Kanter is a huge mistake so take it w/a grain of salt. I also think they panic and package Adams & McGary out of town for help.

I don't think the Clips are gonna do well either FWIW.

This is going to be CP3's 10th season, he's made it out the 1st round of the playoffs 3 times and has yet to make it out the 2nd round.

Eh, they can always revert to Russ and KD iso. It is vital for them to NOT be PREDICTABLE in the half court which was apparent throughout every playoff run, regardless of health

There is nothing wrong with their bench. Augustine, Morrow, Kanter, McGary and Collison are more than serviceable PROVIDED the starters stay relatively healthy. Which is obviously a long shot given their history. Waiters and Payne are wildcards as well
