Maybe because he signed his 2 year contract and tries to catch up MJ in career field goals made. But if he keeps on shooting like this, we won't reach MJs FGM. I think the current deficit lies around 1.000 baskets.

But his comments 2 years ago where he said he wanted to win championship within those 2 years are quite a bad joke. Even Kobe im his prime cannot win with the current roster and coach.

idk, prime kobe probably could. or at least competed with a solid julius and clarkston and hibbert and nick and that curly headed one

Field goals made? I don't think that's a record anyone really pays attention to. You must be thinking about career points. And he already passed MJ in career points last season, after which he should've retired.

Right now, there is literally no realistic milestone he can aim for. Karl Malone is still around 4.500 points away. He would have a very good shot at passing Kareem at #2 in career playoff points, but that would of course take the Lakers making the playoffs first. Which isn't happening.
 
I think once kobe realized he is no longer 25, he'll be all right.

He's making himself so easy to guard by trying to play like he's 25. Will be more efficient if he plays within the offense and let himself be the 3rd option or lower.

He can't strike with the defensive keyed on him no more... Got to strike by getting under the radar.

Glad I got my bros good seats to the Lakers game this year. It's looking more and more like the last Kobe year.

And that's the even bigger problem kobe has. Not his exhausted body but his mind. He seems to ignore that he is not making those 3 pointers and ignore his teammates as well.
 
Former co worker who's a Lakers fan and a residential NYC Knicks hater argued with me for 30 minutes on how much the Knicks suck, have no bench, Melo is washed, and Kobe is still top 10, etc. Out of nowhere he decided to bet me $50 that the Lakers will have a better record than the Knicks at the end of the season. Not once did I say that the Knicks are better than the Lakers but how the hell can you ignore the fact that the Lakers play in the WEST with all these excellent teams. I'm not a betting man at all but I couldn't turn that down hopefully I win
 
Someone bet me that the Lakers would have 50 wins this year...... I took that bet with zero hesitation
 
I don't even think Julius' lack of finishing ability has anything to do with being left hand dominant. It's moreso him trying to play above the rim when he's not that dude.

How come all these so called "next Scottie Pippen"s such as Shawn Marion, Ron Artest, Kawhi and Giannis always average 3 assists per game at most? Do these kids know anything about Scottie Pippen and what made him special?
