I still don't understand the point of the NBA publicly announcing when refs screw up if they nevertheless let the results of the game stand.

I only remember that one time they replayed like the last 15 seconds a game (I think maybe the Shaq Heat were involved?) because of a ref screw up.

Even that time it was stupid as hell. I believe Shaq was fouled out but he really only had 5 fouls. They replay the last minute the next time they play except shaq had already been traded to another team :rofl:

Accountability. And the public can see why certain refs/crews won't be allowed to officiate playoff games.

I guess. But they still let Joey Crawford ref playoff games, so I don't know how well the system is working.
