So they broke Miami heats streak last night next is the lakers so does it count really if it's from last season though? I'm confused about this....
 
It don't count to me, as much as I like the Warriors. The NBA likes to steer controversy, I see lol

They could easily dead the talk and say the wins don't count.

As the NBA sees it, there are two types of winning streaks: the overall variety, which can encapsulate two different regular seasons and currently has Golden State at 27 consecutive wins (they won their last four games of the 2014-15 regular season), and the single-season mark (23 and counting for the Warriors). The league doesn’t prioritize one over the other, leaving the fans and media to decide how they see it.

I just cannot get on board with counting a streak across multiple seasons when four rounds of playoffs (including five losses) happened in-between. And, when personnel has changed in the off-season. Of course, the argument against that is mid-season trades, but that's different from free agency, drafting, etc.
