I saw the Kobe highlights from last night not knowing he basically hit 3 of his 3's in the 1Q :rofl: (I saw his stat line before watching the highlights so I thought he at least made some of his shots throughout the entire game).

So this guy went 1-14 from 3 AFTER THAT? :rofl: Jesus The majority of his points came in the 1st half :x
 
kobe might not even make it to the final gm with the way he is playing and logging all these minutes. it's cool that he wants to do the farewell and give everyone a last look before retirement, but is he even going to hold up? scott needs to monitor his minutes/gms played. he should not be playing every gm in this road trip

Given that Kobe plans to retire after this season and that his team has no shot of making the playoffs, there's really no point to preserve his body for anything.

If the wheels fall off, it falls off.

Or even better, if he dies, he dies.

Quite literally, the only reason to sit him at this point is if Scott cares about making the team better.

I think Okafor will be just fine. He has a good skill set and he's still super young.

However, those of you thinking he should get a pass on this type of behavior because he's 19, need a reality check. This is the real world and he gets paid the big bucks for a reason. Going out, getting piss drunk, letting some peons heckle you, screaming "money", and then fighting is not included in that. The 76ers should suspend him or he should be hit with a fine or both, but that whole organization is a train wreck. I hope he turns it around quick because like someone said earlier, theres plenty of guys in the d-league who would kill for the position he is in.
 
The he's 19 thing is a cop out because this isn't the first time in his life he has faced hecklers. He's losing and it's getting to him, so he's acting out.
 
I'll give Okafor a pass, not because he's young, but because we've all made mistakes.

God knows I've done lots of stupid **** when I was drunk, and I was older than Okafor.

However, we need to learn from our mistakes too. So we'll have to wait and see if he does.
 
He got no buffer or leeway though. These first impressions of him won‘t do him any good. He‘s knee high tainted. Got off on thr wrong foot.

Him being 19 is relevant because he's immature. Like most of us at that age. Only difference is he's in the spotlight and any blip he has will be a headline due to his celebrity.

He's 19. If he's in his early/mid-20's doing this same ****, then get back to me.

I'll chalk a lot of this up to immaturity and having too much money too soon.
