Right. I agree. I actually like Blatt.

But if Lebron is bringing you finals appearances and he, (And others. Because it really wasn't just him that wasn't rocking with David. That is getting lost here. The ENTIRE TEAM didn't rock with him) doesn't want blatt there anymore, what do you do?

You compromise with your superstar HoF talent that's still in his prime.

NO. No you don't. You tell that MF'er that you didn't want him back and that he chose to come back. It's one thing if he came back and won a ring last year, then it's like "damn this dude really gave us a ring" but he came back last year and it was like he never left Cleveland. Still losing when it counted the most. If it really was personnel that wasn't meshing with Blatt, then the split was inevitable from that perspective but the narrative that's been gaining a lot of steam is that Blatt was never Lebron's personal choice, therefore Lebron never showed that man any respect as a coach. Then you get slurpers like Tristan "let me call you king" Thompson and J.R. Smith to follow and now you have a lack of respect in the locker room toward a man who just wanted to coach NBA ball.

I hope Carlisle, Pop or Kerr pick up Blatt and add him as an assistant or something. I want Phil Jackson to chime in on this too. I was loving last season when Phil was telling the world how lebron didn't know how to do anything but travel.

Lebron isn't this he's on your team your going to the finals guy anymore. He has to have all the right pieces in place and he has to be in prime form which he isn't anymore. As good of a player he was I still think people don't give the heat organization, Wade and bosh enough credit for him winning. Now we gotta watch everyone else get the blame year after year when he loses or him get the praise when they win. If I'm a coach I'm not even taking that job, your basically signing up to be a assistant coach.
exactly but hey at least you get to lose in the finals.......

It's highly possible that he loses for the 7th time in June.

Then what? Does he bolt for New York to form a Big Three with KP and Melo?

As much as I can't stand Kobe, I can at least say something positive about him sometimes. The Lebron hate is weird and sad   it's like he lined up everyone's mother and smacked them across the face when y'all were toddlers, causing y'all to be completely traumatized

A good hate job is about being based in reality.

Its about saying stuff the other viewpoint thinks to themselves "He's kinda right about that"

Most of these dudes are stuck on callling dude a fraud and other low order disses.

 who didn't see this coming? Too many conflicts of interest between Lebron/Paul/Klutch/etc....on top of it all, WAY too much ego between Lebron and his camp/Gilbert. This is a ******* disaster and I'm loving every second of this.

It has to be unprecedented to have a current player pretty much representing guys on his own team and having a say in the negotiation process.  Cavs/Lebron/Gilbert ALL deserve each other.

Kevin love getting the blame, Blatt getting the blame, I'm seeing people on fb talking about kyrie dribble too much and doesn't play d... [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]. Win as a team lose as a team. Like dude said he needs to look in the mirror, somebody close to him needs to tell him, "bruh u not the best player on the planet no more". Maybe then he will humble himself and realize what needs to be done. Watching the cavs play gs is torture, wasted my time leaving work early to watch these dudes give up.

Yeah lets get rid of Lebron, so we can be a proud 35 win team....." **** Lebron and being a contender, Im not going to let him hijack my organization."

Let's cater to Lebron's every whim. The guy who left our basketball organization to pick up the pieces when he embarrassed us and our city on national television and even though our owner wrote a scathing letter saying that the cavs would win a ring before lebron, we really didn't mean that and now look flat out silly because he got 2 rings before we got any and now we can use him to get our first ring....if that happens now though because this Steph Curry kid came out of nowhere.

:rolleyes

The Lebbywinks hate mostly lies in the fact that it is always somebody else's fault for his failures.

Lebby didn't have enough talent
Lebby talent around him is too old
Lebby needs more freedom from coaching
Lebby isn't being held accountable enough

You're thinking about this emotionally.

Think about it logically...whats your alternative?

LeBron needs to become more Magic Johnson in terms of getting decreasing his scoring average, let Kyrie and K. love handle the bulk of the scoring and he focus more on running the offense and continue playing that stellar defense that we know he's capable of. He needs to do what D. Wade did for him which was give up the keys to the Car.

Yes he's only 31, but his odometer is ridiculously high being that he came in the league at 18.

Cavs are a mess. LeBron didn't empower his coach and the players didn't respect him. Love and Kyrie are turnstiles on defense. Love is soft and Kyrie isn't a PG, he's a SG. The Cavs problems are deeper then a coach or LeBron declining doing as he pleases. The organization has a bunch of misfit players and staff winning off talent instead of teamwork. I don't see anything they can do at this point to compete with the well oiled machines that GS and SA are. Those teams are the perfect mix of talent and teamwork.

Cavs problems start with Lebron and Gilbert.

Gilbert doesn't want the inmates running the asylum, but that's the case (again).

Cavs will implode when they inevitably lose the finals this year. The fact that I was rooting for them to win before the news broke of Blatt's firing just disgusts me.

I'm taking solace in the fact that there is now a strong possibility that lebron may finish his career with only 2 rings which both have asterisks on them though. May not even be a top 10 player realistically when it's all said and done. And he brought it all on himself.

Ding Ding Ding. It was always jordan couldn't beat the bad boy, kobe can't win without Shaq. But lebron, its the cavs fault, the cavs can't beat the spurs. We blamed individual players all these years until now, now it's the coach or the team.

that sense of entitlement, where nothing was ever his fault.

What could Gilbert have done, not give LeBron what he wanted? When the inmates weren't running the asylum Irving was leading CLE to the lottery. Gilbert's only option was either lose Irving eventually because the Cavs were headed nowhere and continue to miss out on free agents or roll out the red carpet for LeBron and go with that.

At least Gilbert is making more money now with the Playoff and Finals appearances. Lesser of two evils.
