Sure its possible. Going to depend a lot on what job he takes.
I also think Alvin is a better coach than the Pel's record indicates. That roster is a mess and loaded with guys who can't stay on the floor, including AD to an extent. They need a complete personnel overhaul.
Also, for the record, I've never said I thought that David Blatt is a good NBA coach. What I said is, I can't tell whether he's a good coach or not just based on his tenure in Cleveland. He was destined for failure as soon as Bronnykins re-signed with the Cavs because Bron never was never fully on-board with Blatt. I also questioned that idea that he can't draw up basic plays. I never guaranteed that Blatt would successful in another job. He may not be. But he may be.

gentry is doing a good job with all the injuries and lineup shuffle. hope the owners have realistic expectations and let him coach.

This DFish thing has to be off court related. To fire a coach mid-season when the teams 2nd best player is a 19 year old rookie and 3rd best player is either AAA or Robin Lopez + his 2 biggest mistakes are running the offense Phil wants to run and playing Vujacic over Grant - really makes me think Phil didn't think he was cut out to be a coach. Wouldn't be surprised at all if stories come out about him not working hard enough, being late to meetings, not being prepared, etc.
