Two things I was looking at this morning that I thought were pretty awesome.

1) Dirk Nowitzki is now 300 points away from passing Shaq for 6th all time in scoring. That's happening this year, barring injury. He'll be the third 7' to join that group, the only others being Wilt and Kareem. And Dirk did the majority of those outside of ten feet. Amazing.

2) LeBron James is sitting at 19th all-time scoring, at 25,192. He's turning 31 next month. :x . He'll average 25-27 PPG for the next four-to-five years still. He'll supplant Dirk by the time he's 33, and probably hit 30,000 points by the time he's 34.

I don't think he will catch Kareem, but he might surpass Karl Malone if he plays long enough.

what 5 can he guard? don't get gassed off that one block on tiago splitter in 2013.

hell, what power forward can he guard? boozer, david west, draymond, lamarcus, all feasted on him on the switch.


what top 10 pg can he guard? well, top 5? dude literally bites on every fake and crossover. he wanted less that .00001% parts of curry in the finals. Russ would run him into the ground. cp3 would in-n-out dribble him to death. Wall faster. Maybe...well idk who #5 is. lillard? he might knock lillard. He can't guard the elite 2s...but there's only 2 of them, so that doesn't count.

Small Forward is really the only position he can guard effectively and efficiently. The rest is just running through a rain storm, some parts of you may stay dry, but overall, you washed b.


Now to positions he can play....

pg - no doubt.

sg - meh, he can chuck up shots with the best of em...shotgun blast at the gun range approach

sf - fasho

pf, hell nah. already saw how that story ends, he was a four-course meal with all the trimmings 'Turkey...with pillowy mounds of mashed potatoes...butter drenched dressing......tiny onions..swimming in a sea of cream sauce..oooh..'

c - lmao. nope. he can only be center when playing small ball, against a squad like gsw. draymond devoured him when they were matched up at pf. bigger, stronger, heavier in the post.

Even in his prime Lebby had trouble guarding his own position. I can remember paul george and kawhi taking him to Disney on ice more than a few times
 
Lebron doesn't want to play or guard any position.
There's a difference between not wanting to, and can't.

Russ gets cooked nightly, Russ will get cooked tomorrow by Jru and Ish, them boys too good for some things.
