not to say they aren't doing anything themselves...mainly Dwight as he's developing, but boys are in here ranting about Zaza Pachullia flourishing

and in the same breath discrediting coaching changing teams/players tendencies

I said one word about Zaza playing well this season. Calm down man .

The argument some are pointing out here is that coaching changes are fine, but McHale was not the problem in Houston. Scott Brooks not the problem in OKC. It's really that simple.

regardless of what you said, if you don't realize Zaza's playing well (which he is) is a product of their coaching, then you still lost and it helps explain you and the casual observers' stance on McHale not being the problem in HOU

you think he can?

why?

based on what?

what has pop ever done with superstar talent? better question....what superstar has he ever had?

he's never yelled at a superstar. unless they were on the other team.

phil would have a hard time with those 3.

yall will see next olympics.

Tim Duncan not a superstar? I can't really understand or respond to anything else without getting past that first.

unless you're talking about personalites? (more psychologists #inhere)

Yall's arguments around a players DNA is dumb as hell too considering we're talking about guys who have flourished in various other systems.

You get guys coming to the Rockets doing uncharacteristic things. Guys DNA change from team to team? Or is it Harden/Dwight imposing his DNA across the rest of their teammates (pause)

So Zaza playing well is because of the coach?.

Zaza has always been a Center that can produce when given minutes. His per 36 #'s this year are right in line with his career. He just playing more minutes, and in a bigger role out of necessity.

Zaza is doing exactly what he's paid for, and has done his whole career.

His coaching and system are what drive him to do that consistently. You have to be schematically put in a place to succeed consistently. Simple simple concepts

the classic blame everything on the coach because players need excuses argument

didnt know dlo was an NTer

For the Rockets, it's been 3 long hard years and lots of watching games. Nothing new. We were singing this tune through success and failure. Don't try to deflect because y'all aren't really watching the games to the detail needed.

damnit, I said I was done

coach is the reason players play hard or don't play hard? k.

so if you dont like your boss, you just gonna do whatever you want at work huh? show up late? piss in garbage cans? half-*** the work? cool.

but one last thing....it doesn't even seem the slight bit interesting to you cats that Rick Carlisle stays competitive REGARDLESS of who's on his roster?

or that Pop has a random guy emerge every year in some way? Guys who have played on other teams and gotten mins but are less productive?

None of that even seems....interesting?

Do yall think a level past that or look at them and say "they got some good DNA"?

when your boss is telling everybody to do things that fundamentally don't fit their skillsets or make sense....

it's called morale. goes hand-in-hand with playing hard or not.

Yall aren't the least bit....interested...in the fact that the Rox shoot the most 3s in teh NBA and don't have any wet 3 point shooters? for like the last 3 years .

Does DNA make guys who normally don't shoot 3s put up shots at an astronomical rate because they switched cities?

Pop and Carslisle are two of the best coaches in the NBA.

Those guys don't grow on trees man. Idk why you keep trying to compare Pop and McHale. Can the rockets be better with a better coach, well duh. Absolutely.

Were the Rockets struggling thru "3 long hard years" because of McHale? Nope. It's really simple.

Howard? The guy McHale said was the only guy reliably defending with conviction? He came closest to saving his job. https://twitter.com/MockShepid/status/667045267028488192 …

You don't have to be Pop or Carlisle to simply succeed at a few things they do well. Yall are really lazy in analysis

I gotta 1-off these comments because guys aren't getting the big picture. arguing in circles. eh, we'll let time tell the story

svg as a coach > dwight as a player even in his prime.........this dude had the magic in the finals ......the orlando magic guise , the magic , i was a huge dwight fan before this but the way he sold out orlando , the players , the city , the coaching staff , everything ......

Don't know why people are debating the McHale firing so hard. Even if you don't think the Rockets roster is good enough to win a title, 4-7 with several blow-out losses was unacceptable for that team and something clearly needed to change. Firing a coach is the fastest and easiest way to shake things up. Just how it is.
