haha nah, football.

I love Stu though. And Trudell is one of the coolest guys. Real chill and friendly.

Talked to D.Russell for a bit after the game...dude is a prick. Seriously. Full of himself. It's hilarious. 3 times I wanted to tell him, bruh, you aint ****.

 I could see the dbaggery just oozing through the TV when the Lakers are on

You guys really think Laker attendance will fall off that much? Like bottom-third of the league bad? Maybe I'm giving them too much credit but I feel like with as many Lakers fans as there are in LA, they shouldn't have a problem being 10-15.

they are still going to sell that place out. stars probably wont show up

idk man. stars already stopped showing up there and instead go to games down the hall . Only thing keeping the attendance high now is Kobe. Maybe not bottom 3, but i can see attendance falling, especially if they dont lower or hell, raise the price of tickets. Nobody is gonna spend that guap to see a team get handled and their favorite player is gone.

they haven't been selling out in a while.

quote from april..first time out of the top 10 since 2008

The Kobe-less Lakers averaged 18,737 fans at home this season, which puts them at No. 11 overall among all NBA teams.

Funny thing about sellouts is that 99% are fake as hell. The Clippers are currently on a sellout streak of something like 206 games. I would say maybe 10 of those are actual sellouts. The rest are bought by the organization just to be counted as a sellout

Back when I was interning we knew we'd be getting free tickets if we were playing minnesota on a Saturday or Monday night or a Sunday morning. They wouldgive us up to 4 tickets each then you'd see on the jumbo tron that this is the 100th straight sellout :smh:  I've been to some games that are like 40% empty and they try to claim sellout. I think the Red Sox and Phillies got exposed for doing the same a few years ago.

I've been to every Kings game this season and the first 5 games or so were announced sellouts and they were all maybe 75% full, maybe 85% if we were lucky. It's weird.

Also, the people that show up to Kings games are super late arriving. At tip off its maybe 50% full and the remaining 25-35% of people don't get in their seats till sometime in the second quarter, it's been really weird and I don't get it.

Kings fans kinda suck.

NOV 6th -- Marcus Morris: Suns never respected me, ‘I want to disrespect them’

Last night 12/6

The Suns had a two-point lead and the ball with 23 seconds left against the Pistons last week – a pretty big advantage.

But Marcus Morris – traded by by Phoenix last summer – stole a Brandon Knight pass, and Detroit forced overtime then won.

David Mayo of MLive:

“Whether Morris anticipated the play because of his time as Knight’s teammate, he didn’t say.

“I don’t know. What I do know is that he’s soft,” Morris said of Knight. “Soft. He panicked. So when you’re like that, that’s the type of stuff that happens.””

Morris doesn’t have much of a filter – especially when it comes to the Suns. He has expressed bitterness over them trading him, said he should’ve started over P.J. Tucker and stated his desire to disrespect them. Morris sure disrespected one of them here.

Is Knight soft? I don’t think he’s the toughest player, but I don’t consider him soft. He just doesn’t have great court vision, and the Pistons’ trap exacerbated that problem. Morris made an excellent read and left his man to steal the ball.

If Knight is soft, I don’t think that play is the best way to show it.

Or at least not as much, aside from Jack. He'll always show up. But yeah, the Lakers are too much of an established brand in LA for Staples to be even half full consistently. A lot of the seats and boxes are owned by business and use the games as networking events anyway. That won't stop.

IIRC, the Lakers still did ok in attendance even through the post-Magic, pre-Shaq years, so I don't see why they should bottom out now. There will be some drop off, but you'll never see Lakers games empty like the Sports Arena used to be during the terrible years for the Clippers.

Also, I get the sense there is a pretty large contingent of Lakers fans who are actually going to be more excited about the team after this weird Kobe-limbo period they're in is over. Next year is going to feel like a fresh start for them, particularly if they end up with another top 3 pick this season.

lakers will be fine... even during the post Jordan "baby bulls" era they were still sellin out & garnering a crowd every game

I dont think it would fall that much but the away game attendance will drop by a lot

we're just going to be another bottom feeder road team that gets packaged in to one of those 21 dollars for 5 ticket deals

Nick Young not being disciplined for last night. I guess playing for Byron Scott and watching Kobe play like a 67 myplayer is punishment enough

^jack was barely there last yr unless it was a star from the visiting team

Really? I guess I wasn't paying much attention. But I do remember him consistently being around during the VanExcel, Vlade, Eddie Jones era.

one of the GOATs

With a competent head coach TWolves could have slid into that 8th seed and got swept by GS.

SMitch is straight up losing games with them poor decision.

37 seconds on a defensive possession down 2.. he takes out Towns...... Rubio did a hell of a job denying the ball.. but Dame  drives and gets a layup. Subbed out a Top 4 Center defending shots at the rim.. behind only guys like Gobert/Whiteside.. Gorgui who is bottom 5 at defending shots at the rim was left in the game. Fine.. but he subbed in Princes corpse to guard Aminu who stayed under the damn rim anyway. Then after that he designs a terrible shot for Lavine to take.
