You can beat the Warriors with great defense. However, you do need to know how to score the basketball  . San Antonio has Kawhi to put on Curry and he did a great job on him last year during the season. As a basketball fan, I would love to see both teams healthy and matchup come playoff time along with a healthy Cavs team.

The biggest question is can Golden State remain almost completely healthy again this year after being one of the healthier teams in the West last season? When I mean healthy, I mean one of their best 3 players playing in almost every game.

Curry (80 games)
Klay (77 games)
Draymond (82 games)

last season

Agreed.

I don't think ya'll understand how much has to go right for a team to go 72-10, let alone eclipse that mark. GS has 72 more games...that means CONTINUING to play at this high level, maintaining good health, and having luck/good bounces be on their side. I mean, we're not even 1/4 of the way through the season yet...
Ahhhhhhhhh there's no room for this kind of talk in here

I can't eem really remember the 72-10 Bulls team but was it like this? It seems like even on a bad night the Warriors are winning by double digits. Have they had a close game besides the Clipper game?

there are terrible teams every year, case in point last years 76ers

and if i recall correctly, no one else won 70 games in the 90's so its still quite a feat

a bad team and an expansion team are two entirely different animals.

The 72 wins bulls benefited from a diluted talent pool so did the 27 win in a row 70's Lakers.

it's not insult to say this. all great records in volve luck and circumstance.

Jeez it's been 10 games wait until February at least before this discussion starts. Injuries could dead this talk real quick.

Crazy that they don't play SA for the 1st time until January 25th and OKC until February 6th.

Even more interesting those are the only two teams they're not favored against to win for the rest of the season.

I was going to go the lakers game tonight and chant "4 more years" when Kobe is at the line, but I decided to go the a college basketball game instead

I think them getting 70+ is possible but as of right now not very probable.

Just too early to tell

The Bulls had 5 losses at the All-star break let's table this discussion until then.

Remember that team vividly; probably watched 90% of their games that year as a college kid. They were really, really good but they weren't winning by 40. MJ would have 30-40 points and they'd win by 12-15. I think their biggest win margins that year was like 25 points (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) :nerd: .

Don't get me wrong though; I think that team would beat the Warriors. But I do think the Warriors have a lot of the qualities that team had to go 72 and 10.

What was more impressive to me about that team was that they only lost 3 games in the playoffs. One of those games they basically mailed in once they had the Sonics down 3-0.

Of course the Bulls weren't going to win by 40 when they were not shooting the 3 ball at the same rate as Golden State

I'm kinda sad because I remember watching a lot of those Chicago games on WGN, but not realizing the true greatness I was watching at the time as a 7 year old  . During that time, almost all of the Bulls games came on WGN if not national TV.
