Some guys come along and they are perfectly built for a rule set, it's not an insult to them to say that their play style would be be hampered by different rules.

LeBron at the height of ISO ball in the '90s is a scary thought.

Also, hand checking is overrated. It's the zone defense that had the greater effect on scorers. Back in the day, you'd just send four guys to one side of the court and let your star go one-on-one. The defenders couldn't recover fast enough to help because you couldn't shade off your defender like you can now. Of course, you could do a hard double team, but that left another guy wide open.

yeah all correct. zone rules much bigger than hand checking in general.

but I think hand checking would have a bigger impact on small gaurds.

Curry Rules are coming. Teams can't keep letting him style on them freely. The fouls will increase in physicality if the NBA is smart. Just can't do it beyond the three point line. Can't let him kill you outside and inside. Take the inside away and live with the threes.
