Never gonna happen. They need Kobe to sell season tickets. I dunno what happens when he retires. Will good free agents wanna go to a rebuilding team? I know its LA but still......I think kobe will play next season, after that I dont know

Yeah but Kobe ain't "Kobe" any more. No matter how much Laker fans love him they aren't gonna keep paying to see "I have Cable" Kobe and a sorry Lakers team.

Beal & Lillard have been amazing.

Lillard isn't even throwing up a bunch of garbage either. His splits are rock solid.

CJ McCollum looking like the early favorite for MIP. He didn't really play last year until the final month of the reg season so his per game numbers are very modest and now he's at 23/4/3 on basically 50/40/85 splits. He's got it. Found his stroke at the end of that Grizzlies series & is keeping it going.

All this...Clips shouldn't hang their heads at all. They could have and maybe should have won this game even with Steph being in full Super Saiyan.
 "Moral victories is for minor league coaches."

Folks have not realized that Kobe's only played a total of 41 games, in two years. Last full season was 2012-13. He's like an old buick that's been sitting under a barn.

Dude gotta knock off that Statue of Liberty rust

This is true. But he was bad in those 41 games he played. Granted he was coming off injuries, he looked pretty much the same.

MJ missed 3 whole years of basketball, and came back looking like a top 20 player. At 40 years old. I think it just shows the talent gap between the two. Like Kobe in every sense of the word is a poor mans MJ.

And that's not a knock on Kobe, cuz he's an all time great.

Jordan only suffered ONE major injury. Broken foot in 1986, when he was 23 years old. Kobe's had back-to-back injurys, at age 35+. Even when Jordan retired, the first time, he was still conditioning, by playing baseball. At 40 years old, Jordan was physically probably 31-33, in basketball years. Kobe is OLD as hell, in basketball years. Jordan was only hovering at 20-22 points, as a Wizard. Kobe can still average 24-26 points, in my opinion.

If the refs hadn't have called those back 2 back BS fouls, game might have been a wrap by halftime

Lillard and McCollum might be enough to carry the Blazers to a non-bottom five record.

Mike realized he didn't have it anymore and changed his game. I think Kobe's ego will prevent him from doing that. I honestly think Kobe could play and be effective another 2-3 years if he took a secondary/third role and helped the young guys develop on the Lakers or went to a contender. The way he's playing now, the Lakers gotta get him outta there after the season is over.

Changed his game to what? Those wizards teams were awful and mike was the 1st, 3nd, and 3rd options and he did what he wanted to out there.

Didn't kobe say he would retire when he sucked? Didn't kobe say he sucked? Why is kobe still playing?

He needs to either ask to be traded to a contender and come off the bench so we can all see playoff kobe one last time or just hang it up. This isn't eem funny anymore.

All I know is when Kobe retires it's going to be all over every major news media all over the world. We won't hear the end of it for weeks

Crazy Stat of Day: Stephen Curry has made more 3-pointers so far this season than 5 NBA TEAMS.

I bet Kobe worked out this summer like he was preparing to be the man instead of being a 3 and never D guy like he should be
