I dig Orlando too. I don't think that was a game where a sorry team was just giving their all against an elite team. They really have some players on that squad.
 
Big KAT doing the damn thing. Im not worried about Wiggins he'll emerge soon. Lavine tho needs more tine at the two but it's hard with Kmart there. I think Miller playing with LaVine will help.
 
Weird scheduling quirks; Pelicans-Warriors and Kings-Clippers twice in the first five days.
 
I dont think Rockets NEED Ty Lawson...he might do more harm than good but we will see...Patrick Beverly was cool as a defensive specialist & I dont see them getting the second seed again....

Deandre is a defensive center, Vuc isn't. They're not comparable.

 at that line for John Wall. That would be the single greatest season for a point guard of all-time.

I'm all for the MVP going to the best player regardless of team record.. but it's highly unlikely we see an MVP going to a non-top 3 seed. So unless some of you think Sac or New Orleans is going to be winning 55+ games and challenging for a top record, you should cross some of those names off your list.
 
Crazy thing is, dudes dismantled Brooks for not having an imagination on offense but Donovan ran high screen and roll the entire 4th and both OTs.

Yeah there's still reasons to dislike Scotty, but the game is the game. Give the ball to your best players and get out of the way
 
I really wished the thunder would get a ring. I kinda see kd and Russ like the Stockton and Malone. So close but can't get over the hump.
 
I hopped on the Thunder train as well before the year. Think they matchup well with the Warriors and Westbrook is one of the few dudes defensively who could give Curry fits. Durant just flat out cant be stopped and will refresh everyones memory very quickly he was and probably still is 1a 1b with LeBron.

Yeah, but in a game when they were trying to come back, they had Kanter out there where Scotty might have thrown out Perkins. In the 4th, they were running a 3 guard lineup with Waiters, DJ, and Russ, when Brooks might not have mixed it up like that. And that big 3 from KD was a solid play drawn up out of the timeout, something Scotty struggled with greatly.

It's the things on the margins that Brooks struggled with, the right substitution, the right play out of a timeout, mixing up lineups when things aren't working, etc. People would criticize Brooks when he wouldn't even run a play out of a time out, just a screen to get KD open 40 feet away from the basket and then let him jack up a shot.

This team would be a top seed and a contender even with Brooks, so it'll be dumb to credit a great regular season strictly to Donovan, but it's the little things where fans are hoping to see an improvement.

Hey I completely agree. Perk and Collison are family men and were stealing minutes for years. But there wasn't anything elaborate about what Billy was running. I did find it interesting that Vuc was BBQing serge and serge was MIA late in the game
 
I was wondering why he wasn't getting any burn at the end of the game, I was tuning in and out until the 4th.

Perk and collison ain't in the same boat.. I wish collison would have stolen mins from perk, especially in the finals
