Him and Steph made insane improvements to their game. People forget he played a lot of PF in college, and couldn't handle the ball. Now Kawhi is in P&R and getting ISO's.

He was giving the Clips fits last year in the playoffs before he got tired in the last game or two.

Can see him averaging about 18-20ppg this season.
18-20 ppg is superstar though ? i always thought you had to be a consistent 22+ average to be considered top tier offensively

It's all relative to the system you play in. People get too caught up in box score ****** when making these proclamations about who's ranked where.

While I don't believe Leonard is a "superstar", that's not entirely decided on his ppg.

Doing two things at an elite level..... He's the best wing defender in the league...

Imo a superstar is more than helping your team win and putting up numbers. Its also a combination being able to sell merchandise, tickets to both home and away games and be known to casual basketball fans.

What I've come to realize after seeing the Superstar topic several times is that people just have different definitions of Superstar.

Some use Superstar as an adjective, a descriptive word. It's like saying somebody is really really really good.

Others look at the use of Superstar literally and expect Player X to transcend the game of Basketball in order to be deemed a Superstar.

I think Rondo is going to get MIP

What?

Rondo is just getting back to where he was. How is he most improved? Dumbest thing I read so far in this thread.

The guy has one bad half of a season with the Mavs and everyone thinks he sucks/overrated.

You haven't been reading this thread that long then.

A lot of people thought/think Rondo was/is washed after playing so bad in the playoffs.

I'm not one of those people but if Rondo starts playing like a top 5 PG again then he could definitely get MIP.

doesnt seem like that's been part of the criteria they've used when voting.

It usually goes to guys who are taking their games to new plateaus for the first time. Not dudes who fell off and got back to playing a high level.

Yea they're not gonna give an established guy most improved. I remember thinking kobe could've got it the year he avg 35 since that was 7 points higher than he had any other year. But of course the idea is just silly especially when he was an mvp candidate that year
