Sometimes its the organization that's a bad fit for a player. Laker fans already calling him D'bust because of his turnover to assist ratio. Low blow especially after one game. He's obviously a player but I hope the Lakers don't ruin. And Byron playing mind games talking about he didn't know if D'lo would start smh.
i didnt even know he had a turnover or assist

would rather the kid try to be aggressive, go 2/10 with 6 turnovers than that no show last night

wiggins was just as bad, didnt even want to be on the floor playing basketball
Read Nazr's blog I posted a few pages back. Weaknesses withstanding, Russell can't just dominate like we all hope because of the team construction and dynamic.
its not about dominating or even being good, he just didn't do anything. he spends all his time dribbling 35 feet from the basket waiting for a screen to come by only to walk through the pnr and pass the ball off. you cant blame the system for this lack of aggression, sure byron's system doesnt help but great players make plays out of nothing that's what makes them great.

hopefully it's just his first game and once he gets comfortable he will be more aggressive but so far I have not seen it. Even his preseason highlights are mostly mid range pull ups
I can agree with that. But right now, I just don't see him having the opportunity to be aggressive with the current roster construction and the dumbass coach.

DJ's first game against Dallas should be at Dallas

Hot take semi troll semi serious question

Do you resign with the Lakers if you're Clarkson if Kobe doesn't retire?

Why not? He's already a starter and a top two option. I don't see why he wouldn't re-up for the next 4-5 years because of Kobe on his death bed is still around.

after hearing KG is in his 21 year, no way kobe retires next summer, barring injury. He's not about to let a celtic beat him in any stat.

once a celtic, always a celtic.

I can only imagine the type of money Clarkson is going to sign for

LA has to overpay to keep him. He about to get that Gilbert Arenas 2nd round but I came up money

He wont have an optimal opportunity to be aggressive and he wont be put in a position to shine (bring back Dantoni) but everytime he touches the ball is an opportunity to be aggressive.

Hopefully he realises the situation he's in and takes it upon himself to create rather than letting things come to him

d.lo kinda blows. by kinda, i mean he sucks. should have taken a sf if you were passing on jahlil. stanley johnson or justise.

I just read this though. So you're telling me the highest Clarkson can get paid is 57 million? This can't be true can it

Because of a quirk in the rules, often referred to as the "Gilbert Arenas provision," other franchises are limited to signing Clarkson as a restricted free agent to a four-year offer sheet as high as $57 million. The limitation on what other teams can offer Clarkson decidedly puts the Lakers in the driver's seat, should re-signing him at a high dollar amount become the priority.
