The rationale is Atlanta can manufacture another Carroll.

And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

I really don't understand why Perkins is expected to start over Ajinca tonight. I think the Pelicans can keep it close enough to at least cover the spread tonight. Previous NBA champs during their home opener tend to not fair well.

Interested to see how AD starts the year.
