Steph can't be stopped. You can stay in front of him...you can't give him an inch...you can't put a longer player on him. There's nothing you can do. You just have to pray that he misses.

He draws the defense out so far it's absurd. Those two or three extra feet opens things up so much more, and everything becomes that much easier for them. I mean, Durant can draw defenses out, but he's not nearly the triple threat Steph is.

Let me just say this, that I agree with you that he's a load to handle and you can't "stop" him.

But I asked this question in the NBA advanced stats thread, and no answers so I did some little research just now. I looked at all steph's 3's that he made against the Clips and the Rockets. Out of those 12 3's that he made, only two he made going right. Almost all of them were going left.

I don't know the percentages off the top of my head of how good he is shooting 3's going right, but perhaps forcing or inviting him to go right can help? Out of the two  youtube vids of those games that I just watched, whenever he goes right he almost always wants to drive right, and past the 3 point line.

Right hand players are generally better at shooting off the dribble with the left. Generally

This is definitely true. Easier to square up.

What i'm saying is, with that being the case we see a lot of people guard steph straight up and he's far too great of a shooter and ball handler to do that. A player of his gravity, and his creativity with the ball shouldn't be guarded straight up and should be shaded a certain way IMO

much harder said than done though obviously and i'm no coach so hey, wth

I know what you mean. It's like everybody knows Zach Randolph will only ever go left but for some reason defenders never overplay the hell out of his left

the amount of open threes dubs got all because of the attention on curry is crazy..........talking about making your team better just by existing on the court
