Not going to lie, when I hear "_______ is going with a small lineup right now" it makes me furious.

I'm not too accepting of this new era Basketball with small PF's playing Center

Do you Bull fans realize Derrick is owed 40 mil? As long as you offer cap relief, it wouldn't take much to get him. Dude really mentioned KP in the same paragraph as Rose

If Bulls get cap space. Then what? Cap space hasn't done much for the Bulls in recent history. FA shun us like nothing. An aging Pau that's probably going to leave us after this yr is probably the best they've done in the last 15 years.

In the meantime, Aaron Brooks or Hinrich would have to start at point.

You're so clever bro.

That Bulls/Raptors game was intense!

Bulls have put out a good product this year. Their games are can't miss if the matchup is there.

Butler's still off-putting but that Man is it.

Here's the thing with Demar,

He's improved with taking less midrange contested jumpers, and is instead turning those into drives to the basket, resulting in the highest free throw rate of his career. This is good.

But he still takes a ton of contested jumpers and almost none of them are 3's.

40% of all of Demar's shots are Pull ups and 51% of all of his shots are when defenders are within 2 to 4 feet from him. Extending that further, of that 51%, 29% of those shots with defenders 2 to 4 feet away from him are outside of 10 feet.

Basically, he's improved his free throw rate but still takes a ton of contested long 2's. The Raptors are improved, but I don't know if a team like the Lakers would be better if they garnered this type of talent in the offseason. Regardless, I think the Raptors win a round this year so he'll probably stay but it's very hard to construct a team around a player who takes that many contested two's, as the raptors are learning.

edit: For reference, he compares similarly to this version of Kobe Bryant. 47% of Kobe's shots are pull ups, and like demar, 51% of all of his shots are when defenders are within 2 to 4 feet from him with 43% of those shots coming outside of 10 feet. Demar in essence is a much better version of this form of Kobe. Don't know if that's a max player.

chances pistons upset the spurs tonight?

I believe Freeze!!!!!!!

Lets get them boys. :smokin

I am also in favor of keeping Jennings but it just does not seem chances are high so I would rather get a big if he has to go because he wants to start or more money.

Being better than Brooks and Hinrich doesn't mean you're worth 40 million. It's not even about cap space. He's been BAD the last two years. Since he's not much of a defender or 3pt shooter - it's not like he's an ideal role player. If ownership can save 40 mil and even get an average guy at starter, it's a no brainer.

Realistically, the only team crazy enough to take on Derrick Rose right now is the Nets

why do people hate derozan ? srs question
Gonna get max money when he doesn't score, pass or defend at a superstar rate.

Absolutely zero three point range too. Takes a lot of contested long twos.

Like @PMatic mentioned, his game is tailor-made for the 90s. Not so much now.
