That's what I was thinking...they have a puzzling roster to me. Because I think Collison/Belinelli/WCS/Anderson is an elite combo coming off the bench for what they do for each others strengths. But having McLemore still at the 2 is going to kill them every night.

I don't think Russ has disdain for his fans.. his non-answers and rudeness to the media has nothing to do with the fans.

It kinds of does though. The media is the intermediary between players and fans. Sure, I suppose fans have some limited direct access to players through social medial. But its very limited. The media can convey to fans information about players that they can't otherwise get. That's why, when Russ refuses to answer any questions from the media, it is also kind of an FU to the fans.

Pels would have jrue holiday tyreke Evans Rudy gay and Omer asik all on the same roster. Oh and Eric Gordon. Most underachieving collection of players ever

Shall I post the videoed interview of his fans asking him questions, and his reaction and answers?

Fan- yap yap yap yap(this is what the fans question sounds like to Russ I guess)?

Russ- (

as he proceeds to answer) yap yap yap yap

The Pelicans have ****** themselves so hard they have to look to next year because they can't lose any more talent/assets for nothing in return.

Edit:

The funny thing is I would probably accept this trade offer if I were the Pelicans. I wouldn't want to overpay Anderson this summer, Gay is under a tolerable contract, move Davis to C-Gay to PF to space the floor for their mediocre guards.

Sure, post that video and I'll post videos and clips of Russ visiting fans in hospitals or charity work or any number of things where he's interacting and enjoying his fans.

I don't deny he can be a jerk, but disdain is the wrong word.

and lawdog, I guess I give the fans more credit than taking it as an F U. To me, they shouldn't be taking offense to those kind of answers because I don't think most fans see the media as an extension of themselves.. but rather a bigger machine who just wants sound bites and clips for ESPN or their local news. I don't like being a jerk to the local beat guys, that's dumb because some schmo in OKC is just trying to do his job.. but I love when ESPN guys get stonewalled with their dumb questions.

Or Russ that all-star MVP kia to that single mother.

We aren't speaking of the entire life of Russ.

We are speaking about interviews.

Disdain is definitely the right word. It may not be the right word in every situation, that much is true, but by this situation specifically, disdain is as fitting as it gets.

Yeah, when I made that comment, I really had the local media and fans in mind. People in OKC who actually follow the Thunder through local papers or the blogs of local reporters, etc. And older folks who may not be as media savvy as younger people. I don't care about ESPN or someone from TMZ Sports getting blown off. But a local beat writer who is really trying to provide information to a loyal fan-base, yeah.

But I'm sure Russ doesn't even make the connection that there's any link between the media and the fans. In his mind, all media are part of monolithic entity that are out to slander him at any opportunity.

Anyway, enough about Russ, he can live.

I'm off it, until tomorrow's post game interview, then I be back on it.

Not even going to believe the propaganda of VIDs and PICs of guys like Westjerk enjoying charity work. All of them NBA cares stuff is baloney.

If you‘re gonna go that route, look at the Gasol foundation.

No need get technical about Westbrook, we all know what he‘s about.

KD and Russ are both weird to the media in OKC, I've read the articles and you can see how they treat and are treated by the reporters.

I don't really care if Russ gives those kind of answers because they're clearly trying to get a story out of it and he's not giving them the answers the media wants.. but on the other hand, they're just reporters doing their job and they have to ask those questions. It's the same as when Pop gives some reporter a hard time for asking the standard/cookie cutter questions pre/post/in game and he gives a smart *** answer.

Also.. Toronto and Orlando are playing in London on NBA TV today at 3.

I mentioned the same thing a few weeks ago (pop being a **** to the media). It's cute when the old white guy does it, just don't let a young black guy start doing it.
what pop does is super corny too though

but with pop it feels like an act, like he did it a few times and now it's expected of him to act that way towards interviewers

All the, theres always one guy out there trynna be Peter Parker. Come on now. Players aint gonna cater to just one individual Charlie Brown with pencil protectors.

Its sports, its not an interview about how to solve the hypotenuse of the triangle defense, or the acute symmetry of the pick and roll.

Sports questions are banal and terse.

"What is the mindset like after that win."

The only time a player really speaks his mind is when they win the chip.

For now, enjoy the ^High pitch mike tyson delahoya fashion hgh suspect dented cheek raphael^ Westrude.

kawhi finna body bron tonight. kyrie better drop 50 again. but..tp9 is all the way byke. danny green will slow and jr and love will have to play defense.
