Are Original Air Penny Max 1's still wearable?

Not sure which thread to post this question in since it's a question about a original shoe and not a retro. I'm looking to buy a pair of Original Penny max 1's, but I'm not sure if the shoe is wearable. The person I'm looking to buy from says they are and the air bubbles look intact but this shoe dropped back in 95 I believe. I'd hate to buy them and they crumble as soon as I put them on. I just wanted to know if anyone had a pair of their own and how are they holding up for you?  Here's a pic of them below.

Hey buddy, I'll chime in since I have LOTS of older Nikes/Jordans that I can still wear. It all depends on how they were stored and if they were worn at all periodically. I can still wear all my original Agassi shoes from the mid 90's (Zoom challenge 1&2, Alarm, Pounce, Ablaze & even an original challenge Huarache). See if there is any sole separation anywhere. If there is, a little bit of Infinity Cement will go a long way. Just look it over real well & see how the misole feels by pressing it. If they look strong still & pliable, I'd say they should be okay. But you gotta be careful.

Those look fine. I have that same pair I scooped of eBay in 2006 and wore for years until the airbag started to disintegrate. Mine wore completely fogged, more like dusted when I was wearing them

Thanks for the info. The part that sucks is that I can't inspect them myself, just take the sellers word. Nothing better than the OG's, all the other retro's Nike put out never but that 3M piping like how the OG's have. *crosses fingers* I hope I can wear them. Thanks! Repped

Thanks for the feedback. yeah those air bubbles look really good so I'm assuming he stored them good. I'm going to take the chance and pull the trigger on those. Wish me luck..lol.

I think that's the first retro?.. circa.2000

Darker swooshes, bubbles not as fat.

I have the same ones and still wearable i think.

But in case i'm wrong, had an OG pair about 4 years back and they didnt crumble.

Air bag may give in on you i guess.

I copped them, waiting for them to be shipped. I was thinking the same with the air bubble till I saw the size tag that and that's how I knew they are the og's. I hope they hold it, can't wait till they come in the mail. I won the auction for $70 shipped.

those the 2000 1st retro fam. nike was still stitching the production tag during the early 2000s. plus all OG's had the large/wide air units. I own every single pair of of the og colorway and 2000-2011 orlando cw in the penny 1. in my hands I'm holding the 2000's retro with the smaller air unit and this also has the stitched in production tag. farther in the back (on the bottom) inside the display case is my OG 1995 Orlando 1 with the larger air unit also my 2 pair of OG all white "Home" CW thats on top
