2016 Houston Rockets Pre-Season Thread - Preseason Finale vs Spurs

Right it's not the first round pick that is driving me for us to miss the playoffs. This team just doesn't have it. It's disappointing. It would be one thing if this team was over achieving and making the playoffs, kinda like the celtics last season. But just knowing that we have no chance, wouldn't play hard, would get embarrassed, and don't want any fall back for someone to say yeah well at least we made the playoffs, this player or coach should stay then. Like its some benchmark to be proud of.

Beat Toronto twice, including a comeback. Beat the Cavs in another comeback that ended up being close. Beat OKC. Lose to Dallas and the Suns after having big leads. This team completely wasted Harden's year, and Beasley's comeback spotlight. This team has less toughness and heart than the Lee/Dragic/Scola team, and the Martin/Budinger teams. What a freefall
 
Maybe the extra rest will be good for Harden's summer. Going to Rio is going have him in great shape for next year. I'm expecting a monster bounce back year. Let just see how the rest of the team looks.

I don't know man, he might come back worn down from the hoops and banging all those Rio Instagram models.
 
Harden putting in work for the World Champions heading in '14 made for an MVP caliber season and a WCF appearance. Harden putting in work with the Kardashians made for....this.

Harden's offensive numbers are basically identical to last year's. His (our) defense was much more inconsistent than last year.

Yea I stopped harping on Harden a long time ago based on how much energy he exerted carrying them, playing nearly every single minute of games. The Khloe thing is just something to throw out :lol: we all saw how much fun Harden had this offseason compared to when he was all business the previous offseason

I'm not blaming Harden at all. But he was out of shape coming into camp. Playing in Rio will keep him in shape. That's all

Actual playing shape, not looks :lol: Harden is similar to CP3 and Melo as far as being pretty beefy dudes, but heading into this season, Harden was looking winded like he did nothing but go multiple rounds with Khloe the entire offseason
 
Honest question Rocket fans...do we want this team to make the playoffs? On the one hand I'm like...we'll get to see GSW in Htown on their way to what may be back to back titles and the greatest championship run a team has ever had. On the other I'm like we're in the lottery with a chance to land Ingram or Simmons...
