2016 Houston Rockets Pre-Season Thread - Preseason Finale vs Spurs

Well this was a massive *** whooping. Everything this team wrong throughout the season of course showed up ten-fold tonight since we were facing the best team in the league. Didn't defend the perimeter, gave up easy shots, couldn't grab boards, had stagnant offense, turnovers, the works. And if Harden can't get going for this series, it's pretty much curtains if it weren't already was. I've heard people mentioning about a lot of calls that should have happened, and though I agree, it looks bad wanting calls when you can't get back on defense because you're asking for them. May need a legit fistfight to make this competitive. Need an elbow to go full on in Draymond's mouth so he can shut up or something.
 
Yeah it was ugly, the terrible rebounding had me heated
 
0-19 for 3 since March 25th, and all out terrible play this year, but gets the start cause his "defense is needed" :lol: :lol: w t f

JB said the same thing recently when Brewer got a bunch of 4th quarter minutes while hoisting up air balls :lol:

Is JB actually watching him play defense? :lol:

DMo is getting the start tonight. Based on how this series could go, their should be a new lineup each game. Capela at PG. Harden at center, Terry at PF, etc
 
man JBB is clueless… He has to give Harrell some burn… to match Green's energy out there...

I think in the NBA thread I said Iggy/Barnes/Barboza would combine for 60, but it looks like this will just be the Klay/Iggy and no defense from the Rockets show. Second playoff game, and this team is still miserable on the boards, giving up second chance points, and running a predictable trash offense. This stinks, especially with no Curry. Down only 8, but it may as well be 20.
 
Even when this team does things right, they manage to either **** it up, or simply be unlucky. Only down 3 on a fast break with a wide open lane, and Ariza gets off a hesitation 3 that rattles out, then they play very good defense and almost get a steal, only for Speaights to hit a 3. Regardless of how this series goes (more than likely defeat), I can't wait til most of these guys are not in Rockets unis anymore
 
And again, Harden missed a layup that could've cut it to 1, and now it's an 11-1 run run with 7 minutes left. Such an undisciplined tragedy of a team

Dwight didn't even go for the easy board.  It'll be a new team next year @Peep Game.  Time for a semi drastic overhaul starting w/ Howardt leaving.
 
I hate when people complain about officials, but some of these calls are so ridiculous :lol:

It's called so ticky tacky against us :lol:
 
The Warriors never pulled away until we just stopped caring. Dropped a chance to steal one.
Not that we were going anywhere.
It's this type of performance is why I didn't want to make the playoffs. No heart. Ugly. Clueless coaching. They just quit and you see it when they play.
 
Well it looks like with Thibs on his way to the Wolves, we have found our first legitimate reason the Rockets should've missed the playoffs :lol: :x now the next best choices are looking like JVG, Brooks, and Mark Jackson

Ehhhhhh.....
