2016 Houston Rockets Pre-Season Thread - Preseason Finale vs Spurs

Team got housed on opening night to Denver at home. I'm struggling to find anything convincing to say about taking a win up there. This team simply has more talent than them and should win. SHOULD.
 
Harrell starting tonight in place of Jones. Lets see if Harrell can cement himself out of the doghouse

Morey and Leslie gotta be getting pissed at how these guys are playing...right...RIGHT?!

I didn't see this game cause I was at the hospital, but knowing that they loss in the same style they've been losing is ******* atrocious. Team is in complete flux. Lawson hasn't adjusted yet, but it should be much easier to fit him in than it's been

twitter can be so myopic.

it's easy to blame the new addition instead of addressing underlying issues. there is no flow to the offense. harden pick and roll, find a shooter. that's really it.
 
No excuses this year for these players. The team is stacked and every issue was addressed by Morey. Only mistake he made was that McHale contract.

Idk how you dont make adjustments as a coach.
 
Yea twitter is extremely reactionary to everything (NT is too, buy that's another story). There's multiple issues other than Lawson not fitting in yet. On any given night so far, a number of guys just aren't being productive like they were. It also doesn't help that total team defense is in total shambles.
 
I'm not sure how you sign a guy to a pretty good deal (both for him and the team) for 3 years, and not really have him play. McHale got so desperate one year and even put Jeff Adrien in a game (igniting the team with every and a win). So KJ being assigned to RGV is puzzling
 
The Rockets are losing by 20 to a Mavs team with no Wes Mathews, no Dirk, and no Chandler Parsons. :smh:

Noooooo. Mark Jackson is a lateral move. You saw what GSW did when he left. Jackson is like Mchale. You bring them early to help get the ship going. Then the ship is ready to take off, you get a another coach to take them to the next level.

You're probably right but it seems Jackson's team at least played hard. Too often this team looks like it's going through the motions. Maybe it's the system but something's gotta give. This team won't mKe the playoffs the way it's playing now
